The publisher said that it would remove the text in a future update.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-772360\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Assassin&rsquo;s Creed Valhalla<\/strong> has been getting a lot of praise since its review <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/11\/09\/assassins-creed-valhalla-review-roundup\/\">embargo lifted<\/a>, with many excited about what the Viking focused entry <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/11\/10\/assassins-creed-valhalla-review-a-slow-burn-that-flourishes-into-a-rewarding-experience\/\">brings to the franchise<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, it&rsquo;s also come under important criticism too.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eGFZor0L-Fg?feature=oembed\" alt=\"Please accept cookies to see this iframe.\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Courtney Craven, founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/caniplaythat.com\/\">Can I Play That?<\/a>, pointed out that a character description in the game contained harmful language. In a tweet, they shared an image of text describing a character as having severe burns on her face that she tries to hide. Craven tweeted:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I didn&rsquo;t include this in my <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AssassinsCreedValhalla?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AssassinsCreedValhalla<\/a> impressions piece but it&rsquo;s equally important to address. This is a character description in the game. It&rsquo;s absolutely unacceptable to talk about facial differences this way. It&rsquo;s always important to hear criticism brought to the games we play, especially from those whose experiences we might be blind to.
