While the thought of seeing the game soon is exciting for FromSoftware fans, they should keep in mind that even the source has stated they are not 100% sure at the moment.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AycdU__hvPk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The status of <em>Elden Ring<\/em> has been long discussed on social media with a lack of new information on the game since its reveal at E3 in 2019. Despite a CG trailer and the reveal of George RR Martin&#8217;s involvement, nothing of substance has been officially revealed by the developer which has caused fans to express concern for the game throughout the year.\u00a0FromSoftware has since confirmed on Twitter that the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/elden-ring-fromsoftware-update-october-2020\/\">development of\u00a0<em>Elden Ring<\/em> is going smoothly<\/a> and thanked the fans for the support, though not adding any further details.<\/p>\n<p>While fans are chomping at the bit to have another glimpse at the latest FromSoftware title, Xbox head Phil Spencer has revealed in an interview with GameSpot that he recently had the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/phil-spencer-played-elden-ring-thoughts\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opportunity to play <em>Elden Ring<\/em><\/a> himself. While Spencer did not reveal story details or how it plays, he did say that <em>Elden Ring<\/em> was one of FromSoftware&#8217;s most ambitious games to date, adding that he was impressed with the gameplay mechanics and setting.<\/p>\n<p><em>Elden Ring<\/em>&#8216;s presence at the show is not the only rumor circulating around the event, as the long rumored reveal of a new <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/silent-hill-ps5-reveal-date-the-game-awards-2020\/\"><em>Silent Hill<\/em> may also appear at The Game Awards<\/a>.\u00a0<em>Silent Hill<\/em> is another game that has been rumored in 2020 to appear at several industry events with no such reveal happening, However, unlike <em>Elden Ring<\/em>, the existence of <em>Silent Hill<\/em> has not been confirmed at all.<\/p>\n<p>Whether <em>Elden Ring<\/em> is present at The Game Awards or not, the show is sure to have some surprises for fans of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.
