One of the many franchises referenced within <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/astros-playroom\/\"><em>Astro\u2019s Playroom<\/em><\/a> is <em>Tekken<\/em>, with the legendary fighting series seeing a cameo supervised by the game\u2019s director.<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tekken-7-season-pass-4-release-date-november-2020\/\"><em>Tekken 7<\/em>\u2019s fourth season pass<\/a> recently kicking off, the franchise is alive and well, making a cameo within <em>Astro\u2019s Playroom<\/em> extremely well-deserved. Katsuhiro Harada oversaw development of the easter egg, supervising the <em>Astro\u2019s Playroom<\/em> team as they built the reference to his series. He shared the news via a reply to a fan that shared the moment on Twitter, and the special scene shows Kazuya and Heihachi doing battle with one another.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/capcom-tekken-producer-katsuhiro-harada-sunglasses\/\">Capcom Made the Tekken Producer Wear Sunglasses<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Perhaps Harada needs to get more involved with <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/which-tekken-movie-is-right-for-you\/\">the upcoming <em>Tekken<\/em> movie<\/a> to make sure it\u2019s accurate, as his supervision clearly paid off with this easter egg. The special scene showcases the two fighters\u2019 iconic hairdos, with the characters using some recognizable moves from the fighting franchise in front of a few cheering bystanders. They are all bots, of course, with a camera man recording as the action takes place.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Harada_TEKKEN\/status\/1327835977797173253?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>With the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tekken-series-50-million-copies-september-2020\/\"><em>Tekken<\/em> franchise selling 50 million copies<\/a>, it is no surprise that it was included among the long list of cameos within <em>Astro\u2019s Playroom<\/em>. A bot based on Sam from <em>Death Stranding<\/em> can be seen wielding a huge stack of boxes and stumbling everywhere, while Cole can be found electrifying wires just like he did in <em>Infamous<\/em>. <em>Ghost of Tsushima<\/em>, <em>God of War<\/em>, and even <em>MediEvil<\/em> references can be found within the game, giving the <em>Tekken<\/em> easter egg some impressive company.<\/p>\n<p>While<em> Astro\u2019s Playroom<\/em> could have easily been a brief tech demo that players put down after a few moments, the game instead became an <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/10-best-ps5-launch-games\/\">excellent PS5 launch title<\/a>. Featuring solid platforming and some mind-blowing use of the DualSense controller, the cute game stands out as a must-play title for next-gen adopters. It really is the cameos like this homage to <em>Tekken<\/em> that will put a smile on the face of PlayStation fans, though, making the game truly special for those who have played on the systems for years.<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/astros-playroom-astro-back-soon-developer\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Astro confirmed to return<\/a>, hopefully the little bots next adventure has as much heart in it as <em>Astro\u2019s Playroom<\/em> did.
