Capcom is currently struggling with a major data breach that has seen a slew of its upcoming projects potentially leaked. Besides potential\u00a0Monster Hunter<\/em> PC ports and an apparent\u00a0Resident Evil 4<\/em> VR port<\/a>, the Capcom leak has also revealed that an apparent\u00a0Ace Attorney\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>collection is in the works, with this one consisting of more titles than previously-released versions.<\/p>\n

If the leak is to be believed, Capcom is working on\u00a0an\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em> collection that includes the original Phoenix Wright trilogy<\/a>, along with the 3DS\u00a0Great Ace Attorney<\/em> titles.\u00a0The\u00a0Great Ace Attorney<\/em> games have never been released outside of Japan, but the leak indicates that Capcom is working on translating the games. This could mean that\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em> enthusiasts outside of Japan will finally get the chance to try the\u00a0Great Ace Attorney<\/em> games for themselves, so this should be exciting news for fans of the franchise.<\/p>\n

The leak says that this supposed\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em><\/a> collection will be released for Nintendo Switch and PS4, which seems like a bit of a missed opportunity. After all, both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles are now available, and while the systems do offer backward compatibility, one would think Capcom would want to release proper next-gen versions of the collection. Of course, it’s also possible that the leak is inaccurate and Capcom has no plans on actually releasing this\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em> collection on any platforms, so fans should keep their expectations in check.<\/p>\n

The latest\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em> game to release outside of Japan was 2016’s\u00a0Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice<\/em><\/a>, which earned mostly positive reviews and was generally well-received by fans. However, neither it nor\u00a0Dual Destinies<\/em> are mentioned by the leak, and\u00a0Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney<\/em> is also nowhere to be found. Since these titles weren’t part of the original\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em> collection, it would be great to see them re-released as well, but maybe Capcom is saving them for a different collection of titles down the line.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the\u00a0Great Ace Attorney<\/em> games being localized would mean that every title in the\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em> franchise<\/a> would be available in English, with the exception of one.\u00a0Ace Attorney Investigations 2<\/em>, a game starring prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, has never been released outside of Japan despite originally launching all the way back in 2011. Maybe Capcom could be convinced to release it and the original\u00a0Ace Attorney Investigations<\/em> in a bundle if this new\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/em> collection sells well enough.<\/p>\n

A new\u00a0Ace Attorney<\/strong><\/em> collection is rumored to be in development for PS4 and Switch.<\/p>\n
