Yet, those seeking a delightful multiplayer game resembling\u00a0<em>Wii Sports\u00a0<\/em>are likely to get a kick out of it.<\/p>\n<p>The game certainly stands out it comes to quantity, featuring a variety of single and multiplayer modes &#8211; supporting up to 8 players &#8211; and a whopping 11 sporting events. As an interesting side note &#8211; this is also the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/last-wii-game-revealed\/\">final Wii game ever released<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Just Dance 2020<\/em>\u00a0goes out of its way to ensure there will be something for almost everyone, with its particularly diverse tracklist of 40 hit songs. This includes Lil Nas and Billy Ray Cyrus&#8217; &#8220;Old Town Road (Remix)&#8221; and &#8220;God is A Woman&#8221; by Ariana Grande. And of course, the game supports Just Dance Unlimited, which opens up\u00a0<em>hundreds of\u00a0<\/em>more tracks to boogie to.<\/p>\n<p>Features like Kids Mode, an online ranking mode, new dance moves, and custom playlists round out this colorful\u00a0party game.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">11 <\/span>R.B.I. Baseball 20<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/RBI-Baseball-20-Switch.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>With the absence of a <em>Mario<\/em> or <em>Wii Sports<\/em> rendition of baseball, there&#8217;s a notable lack of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/baseball-games-the-best-and-worst\/\">quality games featuring America&#8217;s pastime<\/a>\u00a0on Switch.\u00a0But despite\u00a0its mixed reviews and lack of popularity,\u00a0<em>R.B.I. Baseball 20<\/em> stands as a pretty suitable replacement.<\/p>\n<p>While it&#8217;s a bit rough around the edges, this game largely hits that sweet spot in terms of its balance of depth and arcade-style gameplay. The game offers enough complexity\u00a0and surprisingly-sleek visuals for more serious players to appreciate. At the same time, its\u00a0undiluted, easy-going nature makes for an appealing, accessible experience for less-practiced ballplayers.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">10 <\/span>1-2-Switch!<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static1.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/1-2-switch.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Some may cry &#8220;foul&#8221; on account of this game&#8217;s simple nature and minigames more akin to bite-sized demos rather than sports. Still, much like\u00a0<em>Wii Sports\u00a0<\/em>was a\u00a0demonstration of the innovative Wiimote,\u00a0<em>1-2-Switch\u00a0<\/em>is a fun and amusing showcase of the <em>Joy-Cons<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>With its slew of wacky multiplayer romps, one can get a sense of the surprisingly nuanced tech crammed into these devices \u2013 from the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/motion-controllers-new-games-should-use-it\/\">precise <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/motion-controllers-new-games-should-use-it\/\">motion<\/a> to the realistic HD Rumble. It even features a minigame that one\u00a0<em>literally\u00a0<\/em>controls with their mouth via an IR tracking sensor.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">9 <\/span>Go Vacation<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static3.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Go-Vacation-Switch.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Being yet another party game release that was churned out late in the console&#8217;s lifespan, <em>Go Vacation\u00a0<\/em>never got much recognition. It&#8217;s a shame, really, as this Namco Bandai title\u00a0<em>does\u00a0<\/em>make for a fun multiplayer experience.<\/p>\n<p>While it&#8217;s far from perfect, the mechanics manage to be more than sufficient, and the lineup of enjoyable events is impressive to say the least. Motion controls are subtle and intuitive without feeling forced or overbearing.<\/p>\n<p>The game features everything from\u00a0<em>Wave Race<\/em>-esque jetski scrambles to golfing, and even water gun skirmishes.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">8 <\/span>Golf With Your Friends<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/golf-with-your-friends-title.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>As it happens, one of the better sports titles on Switch comes from an indie studio, which goes by the name Blacklight Interactive. The game takes the fundamental concept of miniature golf and adds its own unique flair, featuring a range of crazy courses and mechanics. There&#8217;s even an infusion of other light sporting elements \u2013 such as &#8220;Dunk Mode,&#8221; which inserts a basketball net.<\/p>\n<p>The game even offers online support for up to 12 players.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">7 <\/span>Carnival Games<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Carnival-Games-Switch.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>As is the case with\u00a0<em>Go Vacation<\/em>, the colorful <em>Carnival Games\u00a0<\/em>is a port of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/10-best-nintendo-wii-games-ever-made-according-metacritic\/\">hit\u00a0Wii\u00a0title<\/a> that&#8217;s refined in terms of its visuals and controls. The game became a quiet success, though was overshadowed by\u00a0<em>Wii Sports<\/em>\u00a0on account of<em>\u00a0<\/em>its similar style.<\/p>\n<p>But with the absence of <em>that<\/em> franchise on Switch,\u00a0<em>Carnival Games\u00a0<\/em>shines as one of the best party game collections on the console. The level of polish may not reach the lofty heights of\u00a0<em>Wii Sports<\/em>, though it makes up for it in sheer quantity. It hosts 20 unique minigames that each provide enjoyment in their own ways.<\/p>\n<p>Up to four players can clown around in carnival-esque romps and sports minigames, ranging from horse racing to home run derbies and cosmic bowling.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">6 <\/span>Super Mega Baseball 3<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/super-mega-baseball-3-release-date-new-features.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>As mentioned, the baseball efforts on Switch are still rather slim. Yet,\u00a0Metalhead&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Super Mega Baseball\u00a0<\/em>serves as another fine gap-filler. This third installment particularly knocks it out of the park with more elaborate gameplay, including an all-new Franchise mode.<\/p>\n<p>The game nicely balances accessibility and complexity, featuring customizable teams, new mechanics like pickoffs and steals, and 14 detailed ballparks. The online competitions are particularly thrilling, and cross-platform play ensures players will find an opponent.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">5 <\/span>Ring Fit Adventure<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/ring-fit-adventure-box-art.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>In fairness, this unique sweat-inducing fitness game has more in common with\u00a0<em>Wii Fit\u00a0<\/em>than\u00a0<em>Wii Sports<\/em>. Yet, the physical nature and accessible gameplay \u2013 which requires players to get off that couch \u2013 definitely &#8220;rings&#8221; similar to that classic.<\/p>\n<p>At its core, <em>Ring Fit Adventure\u00a0<\/em>is a distinct hodgepodge of RPG and fitness gameplay. Yet, Nintendo also provides an array of fun minigames, as well as the recently-added rhythm dance mode. These segmented events range from a tightrope-walking balancing act to a robot-bashing showdown.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">4 <\/span>Mario &amp; Sonic At The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/mario-and-sonic-at-the-olympic-games-tokyo-2020-box-art.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Mario &amp; Sonic\u00a0<\/em>games initially received some buzz when launching on the Wii over a decade ago. This was largely thanks to the novelty of hosting two classic gaming icons and rivals on the\u00a0<em>same game<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Years later though, and after many lukewarm installments, the series quickly faded into obscurity and dropped off the radar of many. The game is also the first to include a Story Mode, which oscillates between 2D and 3D. This is an enjoyable sports game as much as it&#8217;s a celebration of gaming history.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">3 <\/span>Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static3.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Super-Monkey-Ball-Banana-Blitz-Cropped.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>The hit party game for Wii made a return on the Switch and, outside the lack of motion control, it&#8217;s a more-than-worthy remaster. Along with the fun single-player platforming, there are also 10 delightful party games that range from whack-a-mole to snowboarding and targets.<\/p>\n<p>Not only have the visuals been spruced up, but the added online Decathlon competitions expand the replay value quite a bit. This makes for a fun alternative to both\u00a0<em>Wii Sports\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Super <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mario-party-nintendo-games-best-worst\/\">Mario Party<\/a><\/em>, with 100 exciting platforming states to boot.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">2 <\/span>Mario Tennis Aces<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static2.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Mario-Tennis-Aces.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>After the lukewarm\u00a0<em>Mario Tennis\u00a0<\/em>effort on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wii-u-ports-wanted-nintendo-switch-forgotten-games\/\">Wii U<\/a>, Nintendo rebounded in a big way with this enjoyable and fleshed-out sequel on the Switch. With a dynamic story mode\u00a0and\u00a0solid online functionality, this is arguably the best rendition of\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-tennis-games-all-time-ranked-mario-virtua-grand-slam\/\">Mario Tennis<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>to date, and one of the best sports titles on the Switch.<\/p>\n<p>The game balances arcade-style party gameplay with more traditional tennis sensibilities. It offers a variety of abilities and power-ups, along with unique scenarios in its story mode to give it that &#8220;<em>Mario<\/em>&#8221; feel. At the same time, it also offers a more stripped-down, classic experience, if that is what is so desired.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">1 <\/span>Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static3.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Clubhouse-Games-Bowling-1.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p>Those looking for both the\u00a0<em>Wii Play\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Wii Sports\u00a0<\/em>experience should look no further than the recently-released\u00a0<em>Clubhouse Games<\/em>. The game shines both in terms of quality and quantity. It offers a well-crafted digital version of various classic board and card games primarily, along with a few\u00a0<em>Wii Play\u00a0<\/em>classics such as Shooting Gallery, Air Hockey, and Tanks.<\/p>\n<p><em>Wii Sports\u00a0<\/em>fans should also find much to love about this party game, however, with games like Toy Baseball and Toy Tennis.
