That looks to be the case for <strong><em>Apex Legends<\/em><\/strong>, as its &#8220;Holo-Day&#8221; event is headed to the battle royale.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Respawn Entertainment threw a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/apex-legends-holo-day-cosmetics-mode\/\">Holo-Day bash within <em>Apex Legends<\/em><\/a>, which featured a Christmas train mode, new skins and content, and other holiday-themed goodness. This year, thanks to a leak posted on Twitter, it looks like the event will be returning.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/apex-legends-map-sound-bug\/\">Apex Legends Bug Makes It Possible to Hear Sounds From Across the Map<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Twitter user @Biast12 seems to have done some digging with the event that is set to take place soon. Earlier this month, the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/apex-legends-holo-day-2020-leak\/\">Holo-Day event for <em>Apex Legends<\/em> was leaked<\/a>, and now the skins, event bundles, event lobby, and more have been uncovered. What is interested is that some of the content is entirely new, while others seem to be the same from last year, just recolored.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Biast12\/status\/1328406639859425292\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Twitter user uploaded a video showing off multiple skins, specifically bundles that come with a new skin, a weapon camo, etc. It seems that Lifeline, Mirage, Loba, Wraith, Gibraltor, and Crypto may all are receiving bundles, with\u00a0Crypto getting two. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/apex-legends-season-7-skins\/\">Horizon, the newest Legend<\/a>, doesn&#8217;t appear to be receiving a skin.<\/p>\n<p>One of the things that&#8217;s very interesting about these skins in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/apex-legends\/\">Apex Legends<\/a><\/em>\u00a0is that Mirage&#8217;s and Gibraltor&#8217;s are recolors. Mirage looks like Nutcracker with his holiday outfit, which was exactly the same as last year. Meanwhile, Gibraltor is a giant polar bear, again the same skin he had last year. Most of the other outfits are wintery themed, with icy effects.<\/p>\n<p>Skin recolors have been prevalent in <em>Apex Legends<\/em> for some time, something that fans have complained about. Instead of creating entirely fresh new skins for the characters, the models and styles are exactly the same, but colors are swapped out. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-frozen-legends-pack-holiday-item-shop-2020\/\"><em>Fortnite<\/em> has seen skin recolors<\/a> too, and some fans believe that it is rather lazy, and something that even makes rare skins seem less valuable if new ones are added to look nearly identical.<\/p>\n<p>As exciting as a new season is, and this one came with a brand new map even, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/apex-legends-season-7-engagement-down-from-last-season\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Apex Legends<\/em> engagement is down in Season 7<\/a>. While battle royales have a constant and consistent player base, usually a new season brings a combination of brand new players and ones who have simply decided to take a break from the game.
