This time, fans are speculating that a countdown timer posted to Twitter has something to do with a sequel game.<\/p>\n<p>Not long ago, Square Enix teased content for\u00a0<em>The World Ends With You<\/em>, an urban fantasy title inspired by the gameplay of\u00a0<em>Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories<\/em>. After the game became a hit among many Nintendo fans, a manga was released based on the game. That teaser Square Enix tweeted earlier this year turned out to be an <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-world-ends-with-you-anime\/\">anime adaptation for a\u00a0<em>World Ends With You\u00a0<\/em>series<\/a>, set to premiere in 2021.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-world-ends-with-you-anime-extended-trailer\/\">The World Ends With You Anime Gets Extended Trailer<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This time, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/square-enix-quarterly-loss-marvels-avengers-launch\/\">Square Enix has created a webpage<\/a> with a countdown timer, saying &#8220;Timelimit within 7 days,&#8221; referencing the way time works in\u00a0<em>TWEWY<\/em>. The Twitter account that posted this tease has the logo for the Japanese game, and the website is playing a remix of an original soundtrack song as it counts down. The timer looks to end on November 23.<\/p>\n<p>This teaser for something related to\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/world-ends-with-you-anime-trailer\/\">The World Ends With You<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>is similar to the way\u00a0<em>Solo Remix\u00a0<\/em>was teased. However, many fans who were around for this release are trying not to get their hopes up. Similarly,\u00a0<em>Solo Remix\u00a0<\/em>published a mysterious week-long countdown timer to create hype. Each day featured a different remix of an original soundtrack song.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/1stPD_PR\/status\/1328639092125356034\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While some fans are worried this may just be Square Enix&#8217;s effort to tease another port to more consoles, others are\u00a0hoping\u00a0this means a sequel for\u00a0<em>The World Ends With You\u00a0<\/em>could be on its way. Some fans figure that because a Switch port and versions for mobile devices have already been released, and Square Enix has also confirmed the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/the-world-ends-with-you-anime-new-visual\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a\u00a0<em>TWEWY<\/em> anime adaption in 2021<\/a>, a sequel could be one of the few major announcements remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, earlier this year a credible\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros.
