Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/a><\/em> is being praised on almost an equal level to its predecessor. One of the most concise viewpoints in most reviews highlight the story. As good as the popular opinion on it is, like most video games and\/or superhero stories in general, there are some plot holes.<\/p>\n

Many of these could be explained away with a wave of the hand and may not detract too much from the narrative. Still, they are worth pointing out and examining to see what exactly is going on. As if it needed to be said, there will be spoilers ahead for Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em>.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>How Did Ganke And Miles Build That Suit?<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Everyone loves a good montage and Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em> has a good one when it comes to Ganke and Miles building his new suit. There is a problem though. Where did the materials come from for it? One can assume Peter gave Mikes some extra material to do whatever with but did he really give him that much to tinker with?<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>From Geek To Gandalf<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Phin’s rise from nerd to tech wizard ninja doesn\u2019t make much sense. She doesn\u2019t have any real powers other than technology and yet in the span of what can be assumed to be a few months, she is unbelievable in battle.<\/p>\n

Aside from her battle skills, her reasoning is also off track. Revenge on Roxxon is understandable but doing so to let innocent people be hurt in the process is an odd character choice for her.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Escaping Roxxon<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Speaking of Roxxon, there are two sequences that feel out of sorts<\/a> in Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em>. The first is with Phin. When her uncle dies she has to escape the facility on her own. This is before she has any gadgets and yet she does so apparently. The other perplexing issue comes with Miles calling Ganke for help right after his Rhino fight. How does Ganke have enough time to get to where Miles is before Roxxon can even though he is only separated by a concrete wall? Both stories don\u2019t add up.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Uncle Aaron\u2019s Clashing Spider-Man Ideas<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Just before getting to the last big location in Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/a><\/em>, the\u00a0Oscorp Science Center, Uncle Aaron zaps Miles and takes him prisoner. His reasoning is to save Miles. He doesn\u2019t want to see him get hurt which is noble albeit twisted. Prior to this players can do a side quest that ends with Aaron giving Miles a Spider-Man suit that looks like his. If Aaron is against Miles being Spider-Man so much then why does he make him a suit?<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Break The Glass, Miles<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Getting to the\u00a0Oscorp Science Center itself, Miles knows he is under a time crunch. He needs to get to the formula before Phin does. However, his entry is barred with a barrier which he needs to solve a puzzle in order to pass. That\u2019s good from a video game standpoint but realistically in this situation Miles could just as easily break through the glass windows out front. Time is of the essence Miles, get creative.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>A Puzzling Flashback<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Another odd thing about this location involving a puzzle is seen in a flashback. Phin and Miles got their science project put in the museum and yet they can\u2019t see it because they don\u2019t have a ticket. First of all, why is this one section locked out in the museum for ticket holders? Secondly, once they get up there there is no crowd. So did the museum only make twelve tickets or what? It makes no sense other then creating a way to get another puzzle into Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Miles, Never Heard Of Him<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

When Miles, or even Peter, are Spider-Man, they don\u2019t put on voices. For strangers, it might be hard to connect voices to real people. What about loved ones?<\/p>\n

Uncle Aaron is able to figure out Miles was Spider-Man from his moves and voice so why didn\u2019t Phin and everyone else he is close figure out the situation ages ago? Phin was right in disguising her voice.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Help, My Phone Can\u2019t Dial 911<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

One of the gameplay mechanics to allow people to take on side quests comes in the form of an app Ganke made. Swipe left on the phone, grab a mission, and go. It\u2019s clever for Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em> but some of these requests make no sense. There is a guy stuck in his maintenance cart on the side of a building<\/a>. Why ask Spider-Man in an app and not the police, building owner, or his actual work? The same goes for the health workers who can\u2019t walkie through to the fire team so they call Spider-Man instead.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Hiding Keepsakes<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

In the first game players could find various backpacks around the city that held secret treasures that meant something to Peter. That didn\u2019t make sense in that surely someone would have found those backpacks even if they were high up. The same is true for Miles\u2019 time capsules. Some areas make absolutely no sense like a package hanging off of a public train.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Use\u00a0Your Eyes<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

When Miles gets the suit from Peter early on in Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/a><\/em>, Ganke and Miles find out there\u2019s a camera in the lenses. A camera that can capture video or photos. With that knowledge at hand wouldn\u2019t the data Miles found out about Roxxon be safely stored in his Spider-Man suit\u2019s internal memory? Maybe Ganke has to be around to control it but something feels off about this.<\/p>\n
