The Godfather<\/em><\/strong> I<\/em> and II<\/em> are consistently ranked by critics\u2019 lists among the best movies of all time.\u00a0The Godfather III<\/em><\/a> is not. That said, Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo\u2019s worst film adaptation of the latter\u2019s novels were, and still are, pretty respectable works of art.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no surprise then that Paramount Pictures is doing their best to bring the Corleone family back, first with the announcement of a ten part miniseries that examines The Godfather\u2019s<\/em> production<\/a>; and now, by resurrecting The Godfather III<\/em> just the way their creators wanted it to be back in 1990.<\/p>\n

Titled The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone<\/em>, this \u201cnew\u201d version of the film is looking to do things right first by keeping the intended title Puzo and Coppola had lined up for it, The Death of Michael Corleone<\/em>. In Coppola\u2019s own words \u201cthe picture has been given new life\u201d, which is something that will please most fans left with a bittersweet taste left from The Godfather III<\/em>.<\/p>\n
