This was established in his debut feature Reservoir Dogs<\/em><\/a>, whose most iconic musical moment sees the sadistic Mr. Blonde torturing a police officer to the diegetic sounds of Stealers Wheel\u2019s \u201cStuck in the Middle with You.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, by the time the script was finished and Tarantino was ready to roll cameras, Thurman was pregnant.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of \u201cThe Gold Watch\u201d segment in Pulp Fiction<\/em>, there\u2019s a flashback to when Butch was a little kid and one of his dad\u2019s buddies from Vietnam, played by Christopher Walken, brought over the titular watch. Walken delivers an iconic monologue about the watch\u2019s backstory \u2013 Butch\u2019s dad hid it \u201cup his ass\u201d \u2013 that sets up its importance as a plot device.<\/p>\n

In order to get the right shots, Chandler Lindauer, the child actor who played young Butch, had to sit through Walken\u2019s entire monologue. Luckily, he was so young that he didn\u2019t understand it.<\/p>\n

In the script for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/em>, Rick Dalton\u2019s Lancer<\/em> shoot went off without a hitch. But Leonardo DiCaprio had a tough time playing Rick playing his Lancer<\/em> character, so he suggested adding a layer of conflict in Rick flubbing his lines.<\/p>\n

This leads to a meltdown in his trailer that was entirely ad-libbed by Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a>. Tarantino simply pointed his camera at DiCaprio and let him play out the scene.<\/p>\n
