However, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/amazon-listing-may-leaked-red-dead-redemption-remastered-early\/\">Rockstar<\/a> has been hyping up the game&#8217;s next free DLC for quite some time, claiming it&#8217;ll likely be the biggest addition to the game yet.<\/p>\n<p>Posting a tease today on its official Twitter, Rockstar Games pulled the curtain back slightly on this mysterious <em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/gta-online\/\">GTA Online<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>update, hinting that it could offer a brand new area of Los Santos for players to explore. If the speculation surrounding the tease\u00a0turns out to be true, this would be the first time Rockstar has expanded the\u00a0<em>Grand Theft Auto 5\u00a0<\/em>map through its frequent additions to the multiplayer mode.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/gta-online-scrapped-summer-content\/\">GTA Online Leak Details Scrapped Summer Content<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The tease itself is brief, clocking in at 10 seconds long, but that doesn&#8217;t mean there&#8217;s little here to decipher. Cutting rapidly between a series of CCTV images, the trailer showcases what appears to be a new island with its own separate map. The location features a luxurious\u00a0villa and several large fields, with\u00a0it definitely not looking like anything seen before\u00a0in\u00a0the already-established <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/grand-theft-auto-5-deer-mod\/\">Los Santos<\/a>\u00a0game world. The tease ends by showcasing the body of a dead, naked man lying on Los Santos&#8217; beach with a briefcase in the sand beside him. A caption names this man &#8220;John Doe,&#8221; citing that he was last seen at the Los Santos airport and has a know affiliation with &#8220;El Rubio.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RockstarGames\/status\/1329454393415053315\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The entire clip\u00a0offers a lot of cryptic images to speculate about\u00a0(as Twitter users have been doing extensively in the comments below the video). The general consensus among\u00a0many is that the tease is likely for <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/gta-online-heist-development-rumor-november-2020\/\">a new heist taking place on the island<\/a>, with the\u00a0map pictured during the footage\u00a0feeling\u00a0perfectly-sized for\u00a0an action-packed new co-op mission. Others are wondering whether the area will be more open, offering a number of activities for players to complete.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, it seems Rockstar is close to revealing whatever this ambitious new\u00a0<em>Grand Theft Auto 5\u00a0<\/em>expansion is going to be. The last major update released back in August, with\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/gta-online-summer-summer-update-guide\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>GTA Online Summer Update<\/em><\/a> adding Yachts, playable arcade games, new clothes, fresh cars, and additional missions.
