However, the relationship between Parker and MJ had developed into a full-blown romance by the end of the sequel, <em>Spider-Man: Far From Home<\/em>. What the future holds for the young lovers<em>\u00a0<\/em>in the third film is unclear, though it\u00a0will likely be shaped by how the\u00a0public\u00a0responds to <em>Far From Home<\/em> antagonist Mysterio posthumously <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/spiderman-mysterio-identity-reveal-comic\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revealing the wall-crawler&#8217;s true identity<\/a> to the world.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tom-holland-nathan-drake-new-uncharted-photo\/\">New Uncharted Photo Gives First Look at Tom Holland as Nathan Drake<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>What is clear is that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spider-man-3-tom-holland-mask-shares-first-look-at-marvel-studios\/\">the next <em>Spider-Man<\/em> film<\/a> will feature at least one sequence in which MJ and the web-slinger will have to swing into action, as evidenced by the recently surfaced set video. In the footage, Spider-Man is seen briefly conversing with someone, presumably MJ based on the individual&#8217;s attire, before grabbing her and leaping into the air. Because the video was shot from a distance, it is unclear if the two performers are actually Holland and Zendaya or stunt performers. However, both individuals are clearly shown standing on a blue shipping container that is being elevated in the air while a blue screen can also be seen in the surrounding area, suggesting at least portions of the outdoor location will be altered digitally.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chrjstopherpine\/status\/1328809224747495425\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Holland and Zendaya will be joined by returning co-stars\u00a0Jacob Batalon,\u00a0Tony Revolori, and\u00a0Marisa Tomei for <em>Spider-Man 3.<\/em> Furthermore, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/jamie-foxxs-electro-returns-next-spider-man-movie\/\">Jamie Foxx will reprise his role as Electro<\/a>, one of the primary antagonists of Sony&#8217;s <em>The Amazing Spider-Man<\/em>, whose inclusion might be explained by the involvement of Benedict Cumberbatch&#8217;s Doctor Strange. The future Sorcerer Supreme will reportedly take over the role of Spider-Man&#8217;s mentor that had previously been filled by Tony Stark in<em> Homecoming<\/em> and Nick Fury in <em>Far From Home<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the <em>Spider-Man 3<\/em> casting announcements, rumors suggested <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spider-man-kraven-the-hunter-fan-art-joe-manganiello\/\">Kraven the Hunter<\/a> would be the lead nemesis of the third film. While this could still a possibility, fans are more than likely hoping Marvel Studios and Sony won&#8217;t repeat the mistakes of Sam Raimi&#8217;s third <em>Spider-Man<\/em> film by overstuffing the sequel with too many villains.<\/p>\n<p>On a related note, Raimi will also be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe team behind the scenes as the director of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/doctor-strange-multiverse-of-madness-sam-raimi\/\"><em>Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness<\/em><\/a>.
