Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/i><\/a> is seemingly the only thing on any gamer\u2019s mind right now and anything regarding the new generation of consoles or upcoming releases has been laid to rest, at least for the time being. With the release of the extremely hyped and one of the best PS5 launch games<\/a>, fans have wasted no time completing\u00a0Miles Morales<\/i>.<\/p>\n

However, the story mode is infamously pretty short, as it\u2019s more of an extension of Marvel\u2019s Spider-Man<\/i> than a proper sequel. But that just gives fans more time to rummage through the map for some exciting Easter eggs, and there are tons!<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>The Wakandan Flag<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

There were already a whole bunch of references made to Wakanda, the home of King T\u2019Challa, in the first game, and that\u2019s no different in its spin-off. In Miles Morales<\/i>, in the depths of Manhattan, one of time capsules players can find contains the green and black Wakandan flag. Though it isn\u2019t the only time its seen in the game, as similar flags are on-site at the festival in Harlem too.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Thor\u2019s Hammer<\/h2>\n

One of the reasons Marvel\u2019s Avengers is better than Spider-Man<\/a> is due to the variety of weaponry. Players can use Stark\u2019s suit, Captain America\u2019s shield, the Hulk, and, of course, Thor\u2019s Hammer. Well, though it doesn\u2019t look like Spider-Man will be able to wield it any time in the future, Thor\u2019s Hammer is another collectible that can be found in one of the time capsules.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>X-Men Heroes<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This is one of the most subtle references to a character in the game that could so easily be missed, even when looking directly at it. Miles finds\u00a0two ticket stubs for a gig that dates all the way back to 2015, and the performance on the stub includes the name Dazzler, who is the X-Men heroine Alison Blair, and Lila Cheney, another mutant whose ability is teleportation. This has led people to ponder if we\u2019ll see these characters in a DLC…<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>BKLYNSpider42<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Players may have noticed that Miles\u2019 social media handle is BKLYNSpider42, and though most players may have ignorantly glossed over it, there\u2019s actually a reason behind the number 42.<\/p>\n

Many people might put two and two together and think it\u2019s a reference to The Hitchhiker\u2019s Guide to the Galaxy<\/i>, but the number is referring to Jackie Robinson, a black baseball legend who had 42 on his jersey. The number was also found hidden in several scenes in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse<\/i>.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Spider-Pig<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

There are a lot of great quotes<\/a> from Miles in the game, but one of the best quotes can be found on a tape recorder, spoken by none other than J. Jonah Jameson. The Daily Bugle head honcho can be heard complaining about, you guessed it, Spider-Man. During the recording, he asks what\u2019s next, making reference to Spider-Pig and even the multi-verse at large, hinting at where the video-game series could go next.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Vanessa<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This one is a real deep cut, but players would know it from several forms of media, including Netflix\u2019s Daredevil<\/i>. In \u201cUnderground Cover,\u201d Miles is tasked with infiltrating the tower of Wilson Fisk, AKA Kingpin. Once the battle is over, Spidey can look around the huge vault, and what he\u2019ll find is a massive portrait of Vanessa, the love of Fisk\u2019s life and the only person he cares about.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Black Cat and Tombstone<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Being extremely easy to miss if players aren\u2019t turning over every rock, or in this case, looking at every computer monitor, this reference can be found in \u201cTinker Tailor Spider Spy.\u201d When players have gained access to Roxxon\u2019s terminals, there is one in the corner with a bunch of Simon\u2019s “colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two of those third party employees include a cat burglar and the other is Tombstone, both of whom had encounters with Pete in the first game, but are absent from Miles Morales<\/i>.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>The Avengers Tower<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

It\u2019s one of the small details in the game that you may have missed<\/a>, but as The Avengers exist in this world (which leads to a million questions about why they are not present during all of the catastrophes), their tower is on the map for players to find. Some fans\u00a0may have found the building in the first Spider-Man<\/i> game, and it hasn\u2019t gone anywhere in Miles Morales<\/i>, but it\u2019s another possibility for the introduction of more playable characters in the future.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Chadwick Boseman<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

With Miles being from a diverse background, which is one of the things you need to know<\/a> about the character, the spiritual connection between this version of Spider-Man and the king of Wakanda is high. With the unfortunate passing of the Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman, earlier in the year, the developers have added a touching tribute, which arrives right at the end of the credits.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Otto Octavius<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Though it\u2019s one of the scenes that doesn\u2019t make any sense<\/a>, there is a flashback in which a young Miles Morales visits the science center in the mission \u201cLike Real Scientists.\u201d In the level, Miles bumps into Peter Parker, but that isn\u2019t the exciting part. Pete is accompanied by Doc Oc himself, Otto Octavius. If the player hangs back, they can hear a conversation between the two of them about the importance of memory metal, the very thing Miles is stealing in the level.<\/p><\/p>\n\n
