The game is still on track for release on Nintendo&rsquo;s console, though only digitally. It also sounds like we&rsquo;ll be able to play it sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n<p>Bethesda confirmed these details to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/doom-eternal-switch-not-cancelled-digital-only\" rel=\"noopener\" >IGN<\/a> after news of cancelled pre-orders spooked fans. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;While Doom Eternal is 100% on track for an imminent digital-only release on Nintendo Switch, the absence of a physical release at retail resulted in cancelled pre-orders,&rdquo; a Bethesda representative told the site.<\/p>\n<p>The publisher did not, however, say when the game will be released.
