Professional streamer and former <em>Counter-Strike<\/em> pro Shroud has told his viewers that he wouldn\u2019t care if <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/twitch\/\">Twitch<\/a> banned him. The reasoning he gave is somewhat surprising, especially considering his recent statements about one big streamer getting permanently banned from the platform.<\/p>\n<p>Shroud was formerly one of the best <em>Counter-Strike<\/em> players in the world, and now spends his days streaming a variety of games for fans on Twitch. On a recent stream, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/shroud-fastest-growing-twitch-streamer\/\">Shroud made some comments about Twitch<\/a> that surprised many of his fans, saying he thinks getting banned \u201cdoesn\u2019t mean anything\u201d for streamers. \u201cIf I did get banned, would I really care though? Probably not, because getting banned doesn\u2019t really do anything,&#8221; he said. &#8220;You take a little vacation, and you come back swinging.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/assassins-creed-valhalla-game-of-the-year-shroud\/\">Shroud Explains Why He Thinks Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla is Not Game of the Year Worthy<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This statement was made\u00a0regarding the recent news that streamer <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-suspension-tfue-xqc-nightblue3-mendo-grandpoobear\/\">xQc is suspended from Twitch<\/a> after he was caught stream sniping in a recent <em>Fall Guys<\/em> tournament. Shroud referenced the time that \u201cDr Disrespect got banned for a month for streaming in a bathroom,&#8221; saying\u00a0he came back stronger than ever. Shroud\u2019s stance on xQc seems to be that the suspension won\u2019t hurt the streamer\u2019s fanbase or popularity.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qVO6eAgpNPg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Shroud reinforced his view by saying that \u201cgetting banned for a big streamer is a best-case scenario, which basically makes zero sense.\u201d He said if Twitch ended up banning him for any reason, his fans would be there as soon as he returned.\u00a0After recently taking a short break from streaming, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/shroud-500k-viewers-first-day-twitch-return\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shroud returned to over 500,000 viewers<\/a>, which proves that his viewpoint makes some sense.<\/p>\n<p>The professional streamer also mentioned that Twitch \u201ccan\u2019t really change the rules of how someone gets banned based off their top streamers, it\u2019s not really fair. I\u2019m just happy they\u2019re keeping it consistent.\u201d This applies to xQc being banned for stream sniping, but also relates to a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dr-disrespect-ban-twitch-shroud\/\">recent statement that Shroud made regarding Dr Disrespect<\/a>. Twitch permanently banned Dr Disrespect over the summer and has not released details about the reasoning why.
