This story culminates in a quest called Pride or Unit, and it requires fans to place their loyalties with one of these two creatures. For those players that may be uncertain whether\u00a0they should choose Phalynx or Larion in\u00a0Shadowlands&#8217; Pride or Unit quest, this guide looks to provide assistance.<\/p>\n<p>To begin, there are two things that are obviously affected by this choice in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/world-of-warcraft\/\"><em>World of Warcraft<\/em><\/a>: the dialogue that occurs after the decision is made and the NPC that appears in Forgefire Outpost moving forward. More specifically, there are unique dialogues associated with both sides of the choice between Phalynx and Larion, and the NPC that a player aligns with will be the one to inhabit the aforementioned area. While this is where the differences wrought by the decision appear to end at the time of writing, it is possible that things will change in the future.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/world-of-warcraft-shadowlands-cloudfeather-guardian-rare-bastion-garden-of-respite-summon-fight\/\">World of Warcraft: Shadowlands &#8211; How to Fight Cloudfeather Guardian Rare<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Indeed,\u00a0some players have speculated that the decision made during the Pride or Unit quest is ultimately connected to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/world-of-warcraft-shadowlands-free-mount\/\">mounts in <em>WoW<\/em><\/a>, with those fans siding with Phalynx having the chance to earn a mechanical cat and those that go with Larion getting a flying lion. However, players can\u00a0obtain mounts modeled after these creatures in several other ways, which may call that theory into question. Additionally, it would be somewhat odd to make <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/best-mmorpgs-ever-wow-runescape\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MMORPG<\/a> fans choose between the two, since Larions can fly and Phalynx cannot.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4-cbipphQgs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>With all of that said,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/world-of-warcraft-scourge-starter-zones\/\"><em>World of Warcraft<\/em>\u00a0players<\/a> may still want to approach this\u00a0decision as if it will impact what mount they can get down the road. Then, if the speculation ultimately does become a reality, fans will have set themselves up to receive their preferred creature. And if Pride or Unit turns out to be the end of the Larion and Phalynx story line, then little harm will have been done by this mostly inconsequential choice.<\/p>\n<p>In summary, it seems that the best approach to deciding whether to go with Namea or Pelodis in this new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/world-of-warcraft-skip-warlords-of-draenor-intro-quest\/\"><em>WoW\u00a0<\/em>quest<\/a> is to simply consider which animal a player likes best.
