Driving the similarities home even further, the game\/game-sharing platform has teamed up with author Ernest Cline to promote the book\u2019s sequel, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ready-player-two-book-release-when-sequel\/\"><em>Ready Player Two<\/em><\/a>, with a new in-game event.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the first <em>Roblox<\/em> event based on the IP, as it previously partnered with Warner Bros. to promote the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/ready-player-one-two-movie-sequel-tye-sheridan\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2018 film adaptation of <em>Ready Player One<\/em><\/a>, but it\u2019s certainly the most ambitious. In celebration of <em>Ready Player Two<\/em>\u2019s launch this week, the game will host a virtual treasure hunt reminiscent of the one at the heart of the first book\u2019s story.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/roblox-corp-going-public\/\">Roblox Corp. Has Gone Public<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The hunt, according to developer Roblox Corp., will take place across seven different games on the <em>Roblox<\/em> platform and will reward event-specific virtual goods to players who complete each of their quests. The in-game event space is now open to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/roblox-150-million-monthly-users\/\"><em>Roblox<\/em>\u2019s 150+ million players<\/a>, but the event itself won\u2019t begin until December 1 at 10:00 AM PST. At the same time, a virtual Q&amp;A featuring Cline and <em>Roblox<\/em> founder\/CEO Dave Baszucki will take place, providing players with clues for completing the quests. On that note, players will also find clues by reading <em>Ready Player Two<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Roblox\/status\/1330942229985292289\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>All things considered, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/roblox\/\"><em>Roblox<\/em><\/a> is the perfect place to host an event like this.
