The PS5 has launched with a number of amazing titles, and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em><\/a> is shaping up to be one such game that will single-handedly push a large number of PS5 units into the hands of players who wish to play this title. Insomniac Games very much set the bar for superhero games with Marvel’s Spider-Man<\/em><\/a>, and it seems that Miles Morales<\/em> is just one of the many titles that will constantly raise these standards even further<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In fact, one might go so far as to say that the majority of wrong things in Miles Morales<\/em> are avoidable errors<\/a> \u2014 whether within the game instead or the stuff surrounding its release \u2014 that should be fixed as soon as possible so that the game serves as a good example of exactly how a AAA game should launch.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>The Chrysler Building Needs To Come Back As Soon As Possible<\/h2>\n

One of the biggest omissions in Miles Morales<\/em>‘ interpretation of New York is the iconic Chrysler Building, which was taken out due to copyright issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, Insomniac Games can get\u00a0this legal issue fixed in time so that they can integrate this iconic building into the game as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>The PS5’s Rest Mode Is Causing Problems With Many Games, Including Miles Morales<\/h2>\n

It’s inevitable that any console would face problems before launch, and the same is true for the PS5 as well. One of the biggest issues with this console comes from putting it into Rest Mode\u00a0\u2014 this feature worked flawlessly on the PS4 but it seems that its successor still needs to sort out a few kinks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To be more specific, the PS5’s rest mode ends up shutting down the game instead, forcing people to\u00a0use the “repair your external HD” process as well in certain situations. Hopefully, Sony and Insomniac Studios will nip this problem in the bud before it causes any major issues.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>The Game’s Crashing Needs To Be Fixed ASAP<\/h2>\n

As is the case with any title on launch, Miles Morales<\/em> has a bad habit of crashing at inopportune times during gameplay. Sure, this may not be a major issue due to the prudent autosave of the title, but it’s still a hiccup nevertheless.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, most problems related to crashing are generally fixed in future updates, which\u00a0\u2014 when combined with Insomniac’s stellar record as a studio\u00a0\u2014 implies that this problem will sure just be a temporary one.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>The Haptic Feedback Should Be Optimized For Combat As Well<\/h2>\n

The PS5 controller is truly the most next-gen thing about the console, mainly because of how immensely it impacts the overall game feel. This can be felt in Miles Morales<\/em> as well, where swinging around the city feels as natural as can be.<\/p>\n

That being said, this haptic feedback is not exactly all that prevalent in Miles Morales<\/em>‘ combat situations, which is a shame given how naturally integrated they are in Demon’s Souls combat\u00a0\u2014 another launch title\u00a0\u2014 in comparison.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Miles\u00a0Needs To Stop Turning Into A Trash Can<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

A rather hilarious glitch that players can face in Miles Morales<\/em> is their main character turning into a brick, lamp post, or even a trash can<\/a> at times.<\/p>\n

While this can be rather amusing when it happens for the first time,\u00a0repeated occurrences may prove to be somewhat irritating. So, it would be better if this glitch is just fixed instead.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Miles Needs To Also Stop Losing His Suit… And All His Powers With It As Well<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Another amusing glitch that could’ve actually been a really cool way to play the game had it not been for the subsequent fallout was Miles losing his suit. While playing through the game as a normal Miles Morales<\/em> might sound appealing, the glitch takes away all of the player’s powers as well.<\/p>\n

Miles also gets knocked out in a very goopy manner if the player is assaulted, and it’s only by reloading an old save that this glitch can be fixed.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Miles Is A Way Better Protagonist Than Peter Parker, Which Poses Problems For The Series’ Future<\/h2>\n

While this may not be a problem per se, it’s certainly rather telling of Peter Parker’s stagnation as a character that Miles has turned out to be a way better protagonist than him<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Insomniac needs to really work upon Peter’s character in the next game if they don’t want any more backlash on the character himself\u00a0\u2014 something that has already happened following the redesign of Peter’s face.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>The Length Of The Title Should’ve Been Extended Considerably<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Miles Morales<\/em> might be an excellent game… but one can’t deny that it feels incredibly short, to the point where some gamers may feel unsatisfied by the overall experience.<\/p>\n

These problems are augmented by another issue that will be covered in the next entry.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>The Price Should Be Considerably Lower<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The fact that a game that only lasts around 6 to 8 hours costs $50 is quite worrying when it comes to how pricing trends are poised to evolve in gaming.<\/p>\n

Ideally, even $40 seems like a bit too much to pay for Miles Morales<\/em>, especially considering the dearth of content in this title<\/a>. In fact, there’s really only one optimal way that Miles Morales<\/em> should’ve come out…<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>It Should’ve Released As A DLC To Marvel’s Spider-Man<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Aside from prettier graphics and some minor improvements, Miles Morales<\/em> is a package that’s nearly identical to Marvel’s Spider-Man<\/em>. So, it makes zero sense for the game to come out as a standalone product that’s priced just $10 lower than its predecessor at launch.<\/p>\n

Given the lackluster nature of the DLCs in Spider-Man<\/em>, it would’ve been a huge boost for the game if Miles Morales<\/em> was released as the definite expansion pack to this game. Instead, players are forced to fork over a ton of cash to play what is essentially a side story.<\/p>\n
