Part of this curious release campaign will see the release of a free Halo Infinite battle royale mode in 2021, which will apparently be set on the Zeta Halo ring.<\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"500\" height=\"281\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8xaW_vJC4wg?feature=oembed\" alt=\"Please accept cookies to see this iframe.\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is coming from Microsoft and not directly from 343 as they said the only BR they wanted was the Battle Rifle,&rdquo; says a tweet. So whilst it remains to be seen whether Microsoft is stepping in to ensure its biggest FPS franchise gets a Battle Royale or not, it&rsquo;s not too much of a leap of faith to imagine the publisher pushing for this. Getting more people into the Halo Infinite platform can only ever be a good thing for the company, after all.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, at the time of writing there&rsquo;s no confirmation about any of this from Microsoft or 343 Industries, so take this information with a generous pinch of salt.<\/p>\n<p>The rumor goes on to suggest that Infinite will be supported by two &ldquo;spin-off titles&rdquo; which are &ldquo;currently in the planning stage.&rdquo; One of these spin-offs may be a continuation of the Halo Wars series that had initially been shelved as execs were dubious of the &ldquo;space RTS&rdquo; idea the game was pursuing.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Leak: Halo Infinite will function similarly to the Master Chief Collection as 343 plans to release 4 &#8220;chapters&#8221; in the decade of supporting Infinite. 2 spin off titles are currently in the planning stage. <\/p>\n<p>Splicespace engine is continued to be upgraded throughout 2020&#8217;s (1\/9)<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Gaming Leaks &amp; Rumors (@GameLeaksRumors) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GameLeaksRumors\/status\/1320041813659484163?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 24, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The other spin-off, apparently, will follow Fireteam Osiris (protagonists from Halo 5) and examine their exploits during the events of Halo Infinite.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/08\/27\/halo-infinite-joseph-staten-finish-bungie-343-industries\/\">brought on Bungie veteran Joseph Staten<\/a> to head up development on Halo Infinite&rsquo;s campaign after the initial reception to Infinite&rsquo;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/07\/23\/halo-infinite-campaign-gameplay\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">gameplay reveal<\/a>&nbsp;was not very kind.
