Now they know, because Bandai Namco has revealed that this week will see the reintroduction of one of the series\u2019 original fighters, Hwang Seong-gyeong.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s been fifteen years since Hwang, who was introduced in the very first <em>Soul<\/em> game, 1995\u2019s <em>Soul Edge<\/em>, was last playable in <em>SoulCalibur 3<\/em>, but with <em>SoulCalibur 6<\/em>\u2019s thirteenth DLC pack, fans will finally be able to take him for a spin starting this Wednesday, December 2. This time around, <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/soulcalibur-6-hwang-seonggyeong-original-character-soul-blade\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hwang<\/a> will come armed with talismans he can use for both offensive and defensive purposes in addition to his signature swords and kicks, all while sporting a brand new and darker look.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/bandai-namco-events-coronavirus-tekken-soulcalibur\/\">Bandai Namco Rescheduling Events Because of Coronavirus<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hwang will join Setsuka, Hilde, and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/soulcalibur-6-haohmaru-samurai-showdown-dlc\/\">Haohmaru from the <em>Samurai Showdown<\/em> series<\/a> to complete Season 2\u2019s DLC roster, but that won\u2019t be all that players will have to look forward to. Bandai Namco will also release <em>SoulCalibur 6<\/em>\u2019s fourteenth DLC pack on Wednesday, which will add a new Tekken-themed Character Creation set. Additionally, players will also be treated to a new stage called Motien Pass Ruins, Seong Mi-na&#8217;s Classic Costume, and new playable episodes featuring Mitsurugi and NIghtmare.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oC2rIDAJ3vo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>With Season 2 about to receive it\u2019s last round of content, fans will start wondering if <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/soulcalibur-6\/\"><em>SoulCalibur 6<\/em><\/a> will get a Season 3. It\u2019s not likely, since Hwang\u2019s reveal trailer only lists 14 DLC packs for the game in total. Granted, Bandai Namco hasn\u2019t explicitly stated its plans for the game going forward, but it\u2019s safe to assume that, after two years of post-launch support, the company may be ready to move on to other projects.
