While many might think of the power the\u00a0Xbox Series X\u00a0<\/strong>offers in terms of new games, Microsoft’s latest piece of gaming hardware is able to do a lot for older games as well. Whether that’s unlocking frame rates, optimizing visuals, or generally providing a smoother experience for those playing it, the platform looks to make the Series X<\/a> a home for four generations of Xbox titles.<\/p>\n

Included in these is\u00a0Grand Theft Auto 4<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>one of the more recent entries in Rockstar’s seminal open-world crime series that sees Niko Bellic look to make his name in the streets of Liberty City. Yet, it seems players looking to revisit the game might want to avoid doing so on the Xbox Series X, with Kylinho97 recently reporting on Reddit that the console’s enhanced frame rate makes\u00a0GTA <\/em>title\u00a0nigh unbeatable.<\/p>\n

Those who’ve experienced the rise and fall of Niko Bellic<\/a>\u00a0through the game’s main campaign before\u00a0will likely remember\u00a0one of two final missions titled “Out of Commission,” which occurs when the player opts to\u00a0get revenge on Niko’s enemy Dimitri Rascalov. Following the encounter, Niko’s ally Jimmy Pegorino betrays him, forcing the\u00a0protagonist\u00a0to chase after the mobster as he attempts to flee. One part of this chase sees the player forced to jump from a ramp to a helicopter, where they have to spam the A button to climb in and pilot the aircraft. The only problem is that the frame rate on the Series X is so high that it fails to register the player tapping the A button enough times, meaning they’re pretty much unable to\u00a0climb aboard.<\/p>\n
