The streamer recently criticized players who are into mobile games after revealing his expensive PC gaming rig. Naturally, the streamer&#8217;s views on mobile gaming ruffled some feathers,\u00a0resulting in him being <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dr-disrespect-call-of-duty-mobile-bet-iferg\/\">challenged to a 1v1 <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Call of Duty: Mobile<\/span><\/em> match with $100,000 at stake<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Disrespect\u00a0recently shared his opinion on how the video game industry\u00a0should hand out awards to developers. The streamer\u00a0believes that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-game-awards-2020-new-reveals-world-premiere-2021\/\">video game awards shows<\/a> should focus on &#8220;things that really matter,&#8221; and accolades should be given to specific individuals behind these games rather than the broader project. In a tweet yesterday, he shared some examples of what awards should be, such as Best Multiplayer Map design, Best Weapon Skin Design, Best Single Player Level, and more.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dr-disrespect-ban-twitch-shroud\/\">Shroud Defends Twitch Not Revealing Why It Banned Dr Disrespect<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, Dr Disrespect ended his tweet\u00a0saying, &#8220;It&#8217;s settled&#8230;.Next year,&#8221; which suggests that the streamer will be taking matters into his own hands by hosting his own awards show in 2021. At the moment, it is unclear whether\u00a0or not <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dr-disrespect-twitch-ban-why-controversy-future\/\">the banned Twitch streamer<\/a> is serious. Still, based\u00a0on his tweet, it is apparent that he is committed to giving out recognition to specific elements of\u00a0a game that players care about.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/drdisrespect\/status\/1333239724438212610?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In a follow-up remark, Dr Disrespect said that the purpose of his awards show\u00a0will be to &#8220;Reward the true creatives in the industry.&#8221; Judging from the comments that his tweet received, it appears that most of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dr-disrespect-cake-head\/\">Dr Disrespect&#8217;s\u00a0followers<\/a> are in agreement with his views about video game awards shows. One fan commented that it would be nice to see each detail of a game closely examined and recognized, rather than projects at a whole. At the same time, another said that the gaming industry would probably be better if it paid attention to the ideas of Dr Disrespect.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that The Game Awards, which is one of the biggest award shows in the industry, is taking place next week. While the show recognizes multiple categories for its accolades, it does not include any specific elements mentioned by Dr Disrespect.
