Releasing on Xbox Game Pass in early October,\u00a0Doom Eternal\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>has already become a staple of the service, fitting nicely alongside some of its biggest blockbusters.\u00a0With the announcement that Microsoft is in the process of\u00a0acquiring Bethesda, Eternal\u00a0<\/em>seems like\u00a0a taste of what’s to come.\u00a0Xbox promises\u00a0the\u00a0publisher’s upcoming\u00a0games will be available for\u00a0Game Pass at release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It seems the company will be rounding out\u00a0Doom Eternal<\/a>‘s\u00a0<\/em>integration with Xbox\u00a0Game Pass in just a few days, with the major first-person shooter set to hit the PC counterpart on December 3.\u00a0It’s another gesture from Microsoft that cements how it wants to make Xbox Game Pass a major service on PC,\u00a0delivering\u00a0one of this year’s most prevalent AAA experiences to computer-based subscribers.<\/p>\n

The news comes directly after today’s announcement of a brand new Master Level,\u00a0with the “Super Gore Nest” mission being spruced up with added difficulty, higher enemy counts, and more powerful foes. While the mission originally took place in the first half of\u00a0Eternal’s\u00a0<\/em>campaign, this punishing variation will feature endgame enemies including the Arch-Vile, Marauder, and Tyrant. It also follows yesterday’s reveal that\u00a0Doom Eternal\u00a0<\/em>will be hitting Switch<\/a>\u00a0soon, slated to make its handheld debut on December 8.<\/p>\n

For those who didn’t catch\u00a0Doom Eternal\u00a0<\/em>when it\u00a0released in March, it follows on from id Software’s widely-heralded 2016 reboot of the franchise. This time, the Doom Slayer\u00a0takes the fight to Earth, with the planet becoming overrun with all manner of demonic monsters. As expected from id Software<\/a>‘s iconic shooter series, it features heaps of gore, guns, and more of the fast-paced shooting that defined the franchise upon release.<\/p>\n

The game just\u00a0launched its first slice of DLC in\u00a0The Ancient Gods Part 1<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>and will be getting a follow-up in the coming months. Meanwhile, it will also be making its way to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 through an enhanced upgrade, promising to take advantage of both consoles’ upgraded hardware.<\/p>\n

The studio has been nominated for the coveted Game of the Year Award at Geoff Keighley’s annual Game Awards<\/a>\u00a0as well. It has some\u00a0worthy competition, with\u00a0Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us 2,\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Hades\u00a0<\/em>all vying for the top spot.<\/p>\n

Doom Eternal\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is now available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions\u00a0currently in development and a Switch port launching on\u00a0December 8.<\/p>\n
