To avoid this issue, the Fortnite Status account mentions that streamers are recommended to mute their VODs or to turn off VODs and clips to protect themselves against any copyright claims or strikes.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-dmca-streamer-protection\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitch and the DMCA: How Streamers Can Protect Themselves from Copyright Issues<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Recently, Twitch has been under a lot of fire from streamers for how it has handled DMCA takedowns. Twitch released a statement to streamers after more and more DMCA claims swept through the platform, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-ceo-emmett-shear-dmca-apology\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitch CEO Emmett Shear had to issue an apology for the Twitch DMCA controversies<\/a> and mentioned the statement released didn&#8217;t provide help to Twitch streamers facing takedown notices.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/fortnitestatus\/status\/1333825912815677446\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Twitch has been under a lot of scrutiny\u00a0this year for\u00a0all kinds of different topics. Throughout 2020, several high-profile streams have been banned from the platform either temporarily or permanently\u00a0including some instances without a discernible reason as, supposedly, is the case with <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dr-disrespect-twitch-ban-why-controversy-future\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr Disrepect&#8217;s Twitch ban<\/a>. Although 2020 hasn&#8217;t only been about high profile bans, Twitch has also been under fire for its tone-deaf attempt at supporting Black Lives Matter earlier this year and for its inappropriate Hispanic Heritage emotes that truly missed the mark.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fortnite&#8217;s<\/em> newest event is set to feature the big-time Marvel baddie, Galactus. There is some speculation that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-galactus-nexus-war-black-hole-event\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Galactus will bring about another &#8220;black hole&#8221;<\/a> at the conclusion of this event\u00a0much like players saw in the transition from Chapter 1 of <em>Fortnite<\/em> to Chapter 2. The hope now is that Galactus will only impact the in-game world of <em>Fortnite<\/em> and not cause any of Twitch&#8217;s beloved streamers to receive bans over any copyrighted material.<\/p>\n<p>The Galactus event is set to end the long-standing Fourth Season in <em>Fortnite<\/em> Chapter 2, but\u00a0leakers on Twitter may have found what <em>Fortnite<\/em> is preparing for Season 5.
