PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds<\/strong><\/em> shook things up with the introduction of Season 9 in October, which included PUBG<\/em>‘s first “dynamic map” Paramo<\/a>. Unlike most battle royale arenas with static areas to explore, Paramo stands out for having a potentially different layout in every match due to its active volcano centerpiece. However, PUBG<\/em> has announced this map will not be available forever.<\/p>\n

Paramo is set to go away when Season 9 is over, according to a message posted by the game’s official Twitter account Monday. While this and other recent social media posts are vague about exactly when the cut-off date will be, an announcement on\u00a0PUBG<\/em><\/a>‘s website from November 24 says Season 9 Ranked mode will end with server maintenance on December 16, 2020.<\/p>\n

If this is when Paramo goes away, fans only have about two weeks left to take advantage of the dynamic battlefield. Luckily, the developer has offered additional incentives to jump back into the battle royale. PUBG <\/em>Update 9.2 launched earlier this month<\/a>, greatly buffing sidearms to the point that players have been able to go on long killstreaks, as well as letting players fire them while driving – including on the brand-new dirt bike vehicle.<\/p>\n
