There’s a lot of promise in\u00a0World of Warcraft: Shadowlands<\/em><\/strong> for longtime players.\u00a0While there are still a few Shadowlands<\/em> problems<\/a>, for the most part, the good seems to outweigh the bad.<\/p>\n

One of the most exciting features is the ability to craft Legendary Armor. Powerful, legendary artifacts have been a part of the game since long before\u00a0World of Warcraft: Shadowlands<\/a><\/em>. This, however, marks the first time that players can make Legendary equipment tailor made for their playstyle. There are a few steps to crafting Legendary Armor, but the most important of all is getting a Legendary Power, also known as a Runecarver Memory. Here’s a guide to them.<\/p>\n

The first step is knowing what exactly the Runecarver Memories are and where players can get them. There are a lot of methods, but it usually falls into one of five categories: Reputation, PVP, Boss, Torghast, or Great Vault. Most of these can be undertaken independently of the Covenant subscribed to, but not all of them. To be fair, this is not a huge problem, since the Memories given by reputation this way are all general, and can be applied to any class. Still, when learning how to\u00a0craft Legendary Armor<\/a>, it’s best to have an endgame ahead of time.<\/p>\n

There’s a questline that walks players through the steps of crafting Legendary Armor for the first time. The hardest one of these is completing Final Pieces<\/a>, which involves actually getting a Runecarver Memory. Any will do, though players are advised to find one that suits their playstyle, since that’s the whole point.<\/p>\n

Many of the Runecarver Memories can only be found in specific areas of Torghast, from floors 3 and up. It’s best to become familiar with Torghast<\/a> and the sought after Memory, so that when that area comes up, it doesn’t cause undue surprises. Several other Memories are dropped by specific bosses, so becoming familiar with them and their dungeons is also a must. Others randomly appear in the Great Vault or require PVP reputation, and there’s really no shortcut with these.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Memory, a lot of Soul Ash, and two Missives, players will need an Armor Rune Vessel<\/a>. This is the basic piece of armor that will become the Legendary Armor when combined with the Runecarver Memory.<\/p>\n
