The map, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/among-us-game-awards-2020-announcement\/\">teased on Twitter by developer InnerSloth<\/a> earlier this year, is centered around\u00a0a completely new location\u00a0for the game and will feature some unique\u00a0areas and tasks.<\/p>\n<p>While not much is known about the map aside from a screenshot showing the deck of a spaceship, InnerSloth has revealed the new map will be influenced by the developer&#8217;s\u00a0previous\u00a0game <em>The Henry Stickmin Collection<\/em>. In past events, The Game Awards has revealed games with trailers and gameplay segments so it&#8217;s possible that the new map will be revealed with a quick game involving streamers and other celebrities.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/addison-rae-among-us-twitch-stream-corpse-husband\/\">TikTok Star Addison Rae May Be Teasing Among Us Stream<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Among Us<\/em> is up for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/game-awards-2020-goty-nominations\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">two awards at\u00a0The Game Awards<\/a> this year including Best Mobile Game competing against <em>Call of Duty Mobile<\/em>, <em>Genshin Impact<\/em>, <em>Legends of Runeterra<\/em>, and <em>Pokemon Cafe Mix<\/em>. While the game is out for Mobile devices, <em>Among Us<\/em> has had an incredibly strong presence on PC, with Twitch streamers sharing their\u00a0sessions of the game\u00a0with viewers making <em>Among Us<\/em> incredibly popular on the platform.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/geoffkeighley\/status\/1334229810969628674\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Among Us<\/em> is also up for\u00a0Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards where it faces some stiff competition. Among the candidates for the award are <em>Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Call of Duty: Warzone<\/em>, <em>Fall Guys<\/em>, and <em>Valorant<\/em>. With the current situation keeping many gamers at home, online multiplayer has seen a significant boost for games like <em>Sea of Thieves<\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/rocket-league-peak-player-record\/\"><em>Rocket League<\/em> reaching peak player numbers<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Game Awards is going to have a different feel this year, as the event is going all-digital to keep everything safe. While this means there will be no fan presence, viewers can still expect a wealth of guest appearances such as <em>Uncharted<\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/uncharteds-tom-holland-will-present-game-awards\/\"><em>Spider-Man<\/em> star Tom Holland<\/a> and a performance by legendary Pearl Jam frontman, Eddie Vedder.<\/p>\n<p>One aspect that will not be changing at The Game Awards are the surprise announcements that have become a tradition at the show. The Game Awards has been host to a number of reveals in the past such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/xbox-series-x\/\">reveal of the look and name of the Xbox Series X <\/a>and the reveal of Joker from <em>Persona 5<\/em> as a DLC character for\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros.
