He recently announced that Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman herself, will make an appearance at the awards show to present for one of the categories.<\/p>\n<p>For those who may not know, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/the-game-awards\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Game Awards<\/a> is the video game industry&#8217;s annual awards show to celebrate the best of the best in gaming across\u00a0multiple categories. This is the 7th year for The Game Awards, and it continues to be hosted and produced by Geoff Keighley, who founded the now annual event in 2014. Gaming fans are always treated to big-name appearances, big game reveals, and entertainment throughout the night. Gal Gadot isn&#8217;t the only big-name superhero fans\u00a0can expect to see that night either.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/uncharteds-tom-holland-will-present-game-awards\/\">Tom Holland<\/a>,\u00a0star of the recent\u00a0<em>Spider-Man<\/em> movies and the\u00a0upcoming <em>Uncharted<\/em> movie, is going to present as well.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-game-awards-2020-new-reveals-world-premiere-2021\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Game Awards 2020 Might Determine How Good 2021 is for Games<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Gal Gadot first appeared as Wonder Woman in the 2016 film <em>Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. S<\/em>ince then\u00a0the actress has gathered a huge fanbase, and continues to inspire people around the world as the iconic heroine. Fans are also\u00a0eagerly awaiting her second solo film, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wonder-woman-1984-will-debut-hbo-max-4k\/\"><em>Wonder Woman 1984<\/em><\/a>, which will finally be released on Christmas Day. While the announcement for The Game Awards isn&#8217;t completely out of the left-field, it is still interesting that Gal Gadot was chosen\u00a0to be a\u00a0presenter, as the actress hasn&#8217;t really crossed over into the video game world.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/geoffkeighley\/status\/1334596707137404928?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Before fans get their hopes up, her appearance doesn&#8217;t automatically mean one should expect an announcement\u00a0for a new Wonder Woman game. There are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/wonder-woman-game-good-perfect-time\/\">several good reasons why a Wonder Woman<\/a> game should be made, but it&#8217;s entirely possible that\u00a0Gadot is just there to help appeal to outside audiences that might not normally tune in to watch The Game Awards.<\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, there are two\u00a0upcoming DC Comics games that we might hear more about that night. <em>Gotham Knights<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League<\/em>\u00a0are two games we might see more of during the awards show,\u00a0possibly in the form of new trailers or new gameplay reveals. Since Gadot is tied to the DC Comics universe, it would make sense for her to introduce\u00a0new footage from these games.<\/p>\n<p>However, on the off chance that Gal Gadot <em>is<\/em> there to announce a planned Wonder Woman game, that would surely be an early Christmas present for many fans. Whether it would be set in the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/gotham-knights-suicide-squad-kill-justice-league-dc-games-universe\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Arkham<\/em>\u00a0games universe<\/a> like <em>Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League<\/em>, or be in its own stand-alone universe like <em>Gotham Knights,<\/em>\u00a0fans would just have to wait and see.
