In this release, protagonist Snake has to first creatures such as Rathalos and Tigrex from fellow PSP title Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was very influenced by a crossover Monster Hunter had done with Metal Gear Solid,&rdquo; Anderson explained.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is great imagery to juxtapose a man with a machine gun against the creatures.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Monster Hunter film went into production in September 2018 with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2018\/05\/12\/monster-hunter-film-movie\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">a budget that&rsquo;s estimated to be in the region of $60 million<\/a>. The first look at the film came in February 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/02\/28\/monster-hunter-movie-posters\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">with posters showing off the main characters<\/a>, played by Jovovich and Tony Jaa. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/10\/14\/monster-hunter-movie-trailer\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">A trailer debuted in October<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/11\/13\/monster-hunter-movie-sequels\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">Anderson already is working on sequels<\/a> for the Monster Hunter movie.<\/p>\n<p>The film was initially slated for release in April 2021, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/11\/20\/monster-hunter-movie-theatrical-release-moved-up\/\"  rel=\"noopener\">has been moved to December 25<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&rsquo;t the first time that Anderson has worked on a Capcom IP.
