The utilization of assets from the recently released title\u00a0<em>Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity <\/em>is what made the restoration of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild\/\"><em>The Legend of Zelda:\u00a0<\/em><em>Breath of the Wild<\/em><\/a>&#8216;s\u00a0castle possible.<\/p>\n<p>As anyone who played Nintendo&#8217;s 2017 award-winning title will remember, Calamity Ganon destroyed many of\u00a0the game&#8217;s\u00a0locations. The events of <em>Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity\u00a0<\/em>take place 100 years prior to\u00a0<em>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,\u00a0<\/em>before the kingdom collapsed.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/zelda-fans-release-hyrule-christmas-album\/\">Zelda Fans Release Hyrule Christmas Album<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Making good on their intentions to <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-hyrule-restore-mod\/\">mod and restore all of Hyrule<\/a>, the modder has unveiled their next big milestone.\u00a0Going by the name of Banan039, the modder&#8217;s Hyrule Castle mod is a sight to behold. Banan039 uses the framework of the castle from\u00a0<em>Age of Calamity<\/em> to create a nearly full-scale renovation. The roughly 12-minute video sees Link take a running tour throughout the castle grounds and its many chambers and halls. Armed with unlimited stamina and Revali&#8217;s Gale, Banan039\u00a0quickly and efficiently traverses\u00a0through all of their latest work. The mod comes complete with various NPCs and weapons\u00a0throughout\u00a0the structure, in addition to other\u00a0visual elements.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rCOKytY1eOk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The video also shows that the NPCs are completely interactive, retaliating when Link tries swatting them with the One-Hit Obliterator. Interestingly, there are still a few pockets where damage is visible around the castle. However, this is\u00a0possibly due to\u00a0the two castle&#8217;s\u00a0inconsistencies between the\u00a0different\u00a0games.<\/p>\n<p>This may be because\u00a0<em>Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity<\/em> is published by Koei-Tecmo, despite using Nintendo&#8217;s IP. The second game in the collaborative series, the title continues to sell\u00a0extremely well, outpacing the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyrule-warriors-age-calamity-outsell-original-uk\/\">original\u00a0<em>Hyrule Warriors<\/em> in the UK by over 300 percent<\/a>. According to the modder, Hyrule Town is due up next.<\/p>\n<p>Banan039&#8217;s latest mod\u00a0showcases\u00a0seriously impressive work. Many\u00a0<em>Zelda<\/em> fans have likely wondered what\u00a0<em>Breath of the Wild&#8217;<\/em>s Hyrule Castle would&#8217;ve looked like had <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyrule-warriors-age-calamity-will-really-interesting-one-ganon-fan-theory-true\/\">Calamity Ganon not destroyed it<\/a>, and\u00a0the mod gives players a chance to have it realized. However, the obvious catch is that because it&#8217;s a mod, players will need to run it on PC if they want to experience\u00a0the\u00a0restored castle first hand.<\/p>\n<p>While it&#8217;s good to see parts\u00a0of\u00a0<em>Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity<\/em> get used in unique ways, there are some gamers worried that the game could ruin some\u00a0parts of\u00a0<em>Breath of the Wild<\/em>&#8216;s sequel.
