Things kicked off with a\u00a0<em>Mandalorian<\/em> crossover, and the game has since added\u00a0<em>God of War<\/em>&#8216;s Kratos to the mix as well. Rumors indicate that\u00a0<em>Halo<\/em>&#8216;s Master Chief will soon be added as a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/fortnite\/\"><em>Fortnite<\/em><\/a> skin, and there are plenty of other leaks to give fans an idea of what they can expect from the game as the season goes on.<\/p>\n<p>One\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em> rumor suggests that the battle royale will soon be adding wolves. This rumor originated from YouTuber Tabor Hill, known for their accurate\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em> leaks. In a YouTube video that aired days prior to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-season-5-xqc\/\"><em>Fortnite<\/em> Season 5&#8217;s start<\/a>, Hill made the claim that tamable wolves would be coming to the game in some capacity. Since Hill&#8217;s video, however, there&#8217;s been even more compelling evidence pointing to\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em> Season 5 adding wolves.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-sand-tunneling-disabled-shotgun-buffs-update-patch-notes\/\">Fortnite Update Disables Sand Tunneling, Buffs Shotguns<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A few days after Hill&#8217;s video, Epic Games confirmed that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-kratos-dance\/\">Kratos from\u00a0<em>God of War<\/em><\/a> would be featured in the new season of\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em>. Kratos was announced for the game with a short trailer that, as pointed out by FortniteIntel, showed him fighting a wolf. Needless to say, this seems to be the best indication to date that\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em> will indeed be adding wolves at some point later in the season.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FortniteGame\/status\/1334648614791094274\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This wouldn&#8217;t be the first time that\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em> has added animals to the battle royale map. The start of\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em>&#8216;s big Chapter 2 update saw the addition of fish to the game, with players able to use fishing rods to catch and collect them. Then earlier this year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-repel-shark-attacks\/\"><em>Fortnite<\/em> added loot sharks<\/a>, which were found in the water that covered the BR map for quite some time.<\/p>\n<p><em>Fortnite<\/em> Season 5 has ushered in a brand new battle royale maps for fans of the game to explore, which consists of new and familiar locations. And in the case of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-tilted-towers-back-return-salty-shores-season-5\/\">Salty Towers<\/a>, amalgamation of some of the game&#8217;s previous named areas. This new\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em> map features significantly less water than the previous map, so it makes sense for it to add a land-based animal instead of something like sharks.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the wolf in the\u00a0<em>Fortnite<\/em> Kratos announcement trailer could simply be used by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/epic-games-discussing-monthly-fortnite-subscription\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Epic Games<\/a> to highlight the new character and may not mean anything significant beyond that.
