Cyberpunk 2077<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0reviews that are surfacing are only on PC and not\u00a0for console versions of the game.<\/p>\n

Cyberpunk 2077<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>has had nothing short of a concerning year. Starting in January of 2020 and continuing throughout the year due to COVID-19 restrictions, CD Projekt Red would announce multiple delays, eventually pushing its newest game into a December release and miss any shot at a Game of the Year nomination. And despite word in 2019 that CD Projekt Red would disavow required overtime, mandatory crunch time was implemented. However, according to anonymous employees, developers had already been working nights and weekends throughout 2020, so the six-day workweeks weren’t necessarily a surprise.<\/p>\n

These multiple delays were allegedly geared towards “final polishing” of\u00a0the game but\u00a0following many reviewers receiving their\u00a0<\/a>Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/em><\/a>codes later than anticipated<\/a>, surfacing reviews on the game have only experienced the PC version of it. News outlets have yet to receive codes for Xbox or PlayStation versions of the game, spelling more concern for the final product.<\/p>\n

What this could imply is that the console versions of\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/em>are not yet ready for criticism, causing many to wonder if the PC version holds up better in comparison to its counterparts or even if there are problems with the console versions. But with these reviews on PC, writers are complaining about a hefty number of bugs, leading to an unpolished initial experience. CD Projekt Red previously denied any rumors<\/a> that the game would be again delayed past its December 10th release date, but it’s not difficult to see why word of such may have surfaced.<\/p>\n

Reviews of\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/em>are publishing online now<\/a> that the embargo has been lifted, but many are not only noting that they’ve only received codes for the PC version of the game, despite asking the developers for Xbox One and PS4 versions.<\/p>\n

Still, it’s worth noting that while some review scores are falling short of previous expectations, many others are giving\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/em>perfect scores<\/a>, with the only downside to note are the bugs, though this didn’t stop fans from loving\u00a0Skyrim<\/em> back in the day. And many other reviewers still have yet to add their voices into the mix, but they will presumably do so once the console versions of the highly-anticipated game are available.<\/p>\n

Cyberpunk 2077<\/strong><\/em> is set to launch on December 10 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X\/S versions currently in development.<\/p>\n
