The full event will run from 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12th, 2020, through 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 (local time). With old community day Pok\u00e9mon appearing en mass and older Pok\u00e9mon appearing commonly in raids, there is a lot that players need to know to make the most out of this annual event.<\/span><\/p>\n

Players should familiarize themselves with the Pok\u00e9mon, the schedule, and the rewards that the event has to offer. The December community weekend is a far more complicated and packed weekend than any other community day throughout the year, and so players should prioritize preparing for the event over all else.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Know The Pok\u00e9mon<\/h2>\n

Knowing when each Pok\u00e9mon is available and how the weekend will work is the second thing every player should do to prepare. On Saturday the 12th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, players are more likely to find shiny<\/a> Weedle, Abra, Ryhorn, Seedot, Ghastly<\/a>, and Piplup, and can battle Mega Gengar in raids. <\/span><\/p>\n

On\u00a0Sunday the 13th, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, players are more likely to encounter shiny Charmander, Electabuzz, Magmar, Magikarp, and Porygon, and can fight Mega Charizard X in raids.<\/span><\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Hatch Those Eggs<\/h2>\n

The final way players should analyze their inventory to make space is to hatch all of the eggs they have stuck in their inventory. Players can only hold nine eggs at a time and for an event where some great Pok\u00e9mon will be available in 2k eggs, it\u2019s vital for players to be ready.<\/span><\/p>\n

For players who don\u2019t have access to unlimited Pok\u00e9coins, eggs will be their best bet.<\/span><\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Make Some Cash<\/h2>\n

Speaking of unlimited Pok\u00e9coins, players should always be putting Pok\u00e9mon into gyms to earn the maximum 50 coins every day, regardless of a community coming up or not. That said, this week it is even more important than usual. Players can use their Pok\u00e9coins to purchase incredibly useful items like star pieces, lucky eggs, incenses, and raid passes. <\/span><\/p>\n

While star pieces and lucky eggs will make the most of the busy weekend to amplify a player\u2019s (already boosted from the event) stardust gain and experience, incense and raid passes will help players keep the weekend going when stuck inside during quarantine. Incense will bring Pok\u00e9mon to the player for a boosted 3-hour duration and raid passes will let players fight as many limited raid Pok\u00e9mon as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Use Items Efficiently<\/h2>\n

Players need to understand how to use what they\u2019ve got if they want to get the most stardust, experience, and quality Pok\u00e9mon over the course of the community weekend.
