He will be working on a brand-new IP as a Senior Designer, hinting at an upcoming major project for the development studio.<\/p>\n<p>ZeniMax Online is a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media,\u00a0which also owns\u00a0Bethesda Game Studios\u00a0&#8211; responsible for popular action-adventure titles like the\u00a0<em>Elder Scrolls\u00a0<\/em>series, the\u00a0<em>Fallout\u00a0<\/em>series, and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/starfield-the-elder-scrolls-6-xbox-game-pass-day-one\/\">the upcoming\u00a0<em>Starfield<\/em><\/a>. As a sister studio, ZeniMax Online heads projects like the online MMORPGs\u00a0<em>Elder Scrolls Online\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Fallout 76,\u00a0<\/em>as well as the canceled\u00a0<em>Commander Keen\u00a0<\/em>mobile game.\u00a0Following Microsoft&#8217;s acquisition of ZeniMax Media, it looks like the developers have big plans in store for upcoming titles.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/xbox-rumor-new-studio-acquisition\/\">Xbox Rumor Says It Has One More Acquisition to Announce, and It Could Be Big<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>After the $7.5 billion purchase of ZeniMax, one of the first steps taken by the studios for future projects the hiring of Cobb, known for his work with Naughty Dog as a Game Designer on projects like\u00a0<em>Uncharted 4\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/the-last-of-us-3-ellie-abby-lev-story-new-joel\/\"><em>The Last of Us<\/em><\/a>\u00a0for dialogue scripting, puzzle scripting, animal placement scripting, and general bug fixing. He also worked as a Senior Game Designer under Sony for two years before being picked up by ZeniMax Online.<\/p>\n<p>Cobb announced via Twitter that he has officially joined the team over at ZeniMax Online yesterday, and has formed the basis of a new satellite studio for the developer in San Diego, California along with other designers and developers Alex Sulman, John Bautista, Chris Kovach, and TJ Madigan.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/QTrainCobb\/status\/1335999299000410113\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This satellite studio is starting on a new\u00a0AAA IP, according to Cobb. While he doesn&#8217;t go into detail or provide any hints as to what the upcoming IP entails, this is exciting news for fans of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/elder-scrolls-online-text-adventure-twitter\/\">the\u00a0<em>Elder Scrolls Online<\/em><\/a> creators.
