It&#8217;s no surprise that <em>Overcooked: All You Can Eat<\/em> remains <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overcooked-all-you-can-eat-ps5-xbox-series-x\/\">a popular title for both next-generation consoles<\/a>, especially now that many families are staying home for the holidays. Unfortunately, it appears that the game contains a major bug that\u00a0is currently affecting its local multiplayer mode on the Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n<p>According to player reports, the bug is triggered when players unlock a certain achievement that will kick them out of a level and back to the main menu. It is worth noting that reports of this glitch were made as early as last month, where\u00a0players cannot assign roles when\u00a0there is more than one controller connected to the console. This means that once the glitch is activated, players can&#8217;t play\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/overcooked-all-you-can-eat\/\"><em>Overcooked: All You Can Eat<\/em><\/a> via local multiplayer.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overcooked-all-you-can-eat-ps5-haptic-feedback-features\/\">Overcooked: All You Can Eat Details PS5 Haptic Feedback Features<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Although reports on when exactly the bug is triggered vary from case to case, the consensus is that as soon as the game showers players with achievements, it will bring them back to the main menu, which results in players losing all progress on the current level that they are in. There is still no word\u00a0if the problem is also present in the PS5 version of the game or if\u00a0Team17 is already aware of the issue.\u00a0Given\u00a0the severity of the glitch that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/overcooked-all-you-can-eat-xbox-series-x-s-bug-couch-multiplayer\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">breaks the game&#8217;s local multiplayer mode<\/a>, it is likely that a fix will be patched into <em>Overcooked: All You Can Eat<\/em> soon.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/OvercookedGame\/comments\/jrxi74\/issue_with_overcooked_all_you_can_eat_xbox_series\/\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Team17 revealed several weeks ago that <em>Overcooked: All You Can Eat<\/em> will be released in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overcooked-all-you-can-eat-ps5-xbox-series-x-physical-release\/\">physical format for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X<\/a>. Players in North America should expect the physical edition of the bundle to be released on December 11 and will be priced at $49.99.
