The creators of Disco Elysium<\/em><\/strong> shocked everyone with the release of their game in late 2019. ZA\/UM’s cynical isometric RPG collected tons of Game of the Year nominations, plus quite a few awards, too. But short of sales, bug fixes, and localization efforts, ZA\/UM’s been surprisingly silent in 2020. If there are more plans for Disco Elysium<\/em><\/a>, or something to come after, fans have been left in anticipation. However, that may be changing, as ZA\/UM’s now teasing a forthcoming announcement.<\/p>\n

The official Disco Elysium<\/em> website has been updated as of Wednesday morning. The website’s landing page now features a big red splash image and at its center are the star-and-antler symbol of the Revacholian communists and the Revolution, as well as the word “Soon.” The implication clearly being that ZA\/UM<\/a> has an announcement that’s related to Disco Elysium<\/em> to share in the near future.<\/p>\n

What ZA\/UM’s announcement may be remains a complete mystery, of course. Given that it has only been a year since the launch of Disco Elysium<\/em>, expectations should probably be managed. The announcement could be related to Disco Elysium<\/em> being ported to consoles<\/a>. It could be as small as a confirmation of its in-development localizations, too. But fans are probably hoping for something more. There’s at least a chance of some new DLC content, or perhaps even a full-fledged expansion.<\/p>\n

The timing of ZA\/UM’s teaser is also interesting. Tomorrow night, The Game Awards 2020<\/a> will feature well over a dozen new game announcements and reveals. The Disco Elysium<\/em> announcement could be one of them. It could just be a timing coincidence, too. Regardless, Disco Elysium<\/em> fans should look forward to some fun news in the relatively near future.<\/p>\n

Disco Elysium<\/strong><\/em> is available now on PC, with plans to launch on PS4, Switch, and Xbox One in 2021.<\/p>\n
