The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/10-best-ps5-launch-games\/\">PS5\u00a0launched with a lot of exclusive titles<\/a>\u00a0in particular, and Insomniac Games&#8217; <em><strong>Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0achieved an impressive feat by topping <em>Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/em>\u00a0on the PS5&#8217;s most-downloaded chart for November 2020 in\u00a0North America.<\/p>\n<p>A PlayStation Blog post today specifically congratulates <em>Miles Morales<\/em> for being the most-downloaded game in the US and Canada region during the console&#8217;s debut month. However, Activision&#8217;s first-person shooter franchise retains its juggernaut status with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-bricking-ps5\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em> being the most-downloaded PS5 game<\/a> in the EU, as well as the most-downloaded game in both regions on the PlayStation 4. That being said, <em>Miles Morales<\/em>\u00a0was still the second most-downloaded PS5 game in the EU.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ps5-twice-xbox-series-x-s-sales-launch\/\">PS5 Sold Twice as Many Consoles at Launch as Xbox Series X\/S<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The remainder of the top 10 lists for PS5 downloads in both North America and the EU are about what one would expect, featuring major exclusive games like <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/demon-souls-boss-battles-dance-pad\/\"><em>Demon&#8217;s Souls<\/em><\/a> and <em>Sackboy: A Big Adventure<\/em>, as well as cross-platform titles like <em>Watch Dogs: Legion<\/em> and <em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/em> in varying positions. Both lists outline the top 20 games overall, and there are recurring names throughout such as <em>Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition<\/em>, <em>The Pathless<\/em>, <em>No Man&#8217;s Sky<\/em>, and <em>Mortal Kombat 11<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PlayStation\/status\/1336672357415604225?s=20\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Despite <em>Call of Dut<\/em>y&#8217;s yearly installments often dominating sales metrics for months after release, PlayStation Blog is not the first outlet to announce\u00a0<em>Black Ops Cold War<\/em> was beaten out during its launch period. Soon after the next-gen consoles released in mid-November, GamesIndustry.biz reported that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/assassins-creed-valhalla-call-of-duty-black-ops-cold-war-uk-sales\/\"><em>Assassin&#8217;s Creed Valhalla<\/em> physical sales beat <em>Call of Duty<\/em><\/a> in the UK. Neither publication provides exact numbers, so the difference in sales for both these cases may be marginal.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, being the first anything can help a game&#8217;s longevity in public discourse, so <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/spider-man-miles-morales\/\"><em>Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/em><\/a> topping the PS5&#8217;s most-downloaded chart in North America during the console&#8217;s launch month is a strong accolade. Insomniac Games has continued to adjust its latest venture into the Marvel Comics universe, with a recent update adding an extra performance mode.<\/p>\n<p>As the PS5 moves into the December holiday season, it will be interesting to see how the popularity of certain titles shift.
