There are very few details about\u00a0what this new release is, but the studio makes sure to tell viewers that more news will likely be on the way very soon.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/amnesia-rebirth-horror-game-design-ps5-xbox-series-x-interview\/\">Amnesia: Rebirth Devs Talk Horror Game Design<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The reveal comes alongside the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/detention-netflix-adaptation\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a Netflix adaptation for the studio&#8217;s title\u00a0<\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/detention-netflix-adaptation\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detention<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>which debuted on the service a few days ago. The TV show, which\u00a0is currently on its second episode,\u00a0follows a tormented student who starts investigating eerie goings-on in a Tawinese high school.\u00a0The original game, which was the studio&#8217;s first release, blends\u00a0creepy horror with Taiwanese mythology, introducing a series of unsettling monsters that stalk the hallways of its high school setting. The studio has exclusively dealt in horror\u00a0up until now, and with\u00a0<em>Detention\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Devotion\u00a0<\/em>both being huge successes, the company could complete its trilogy of reserved <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-horror-games-generation-metacritic\/\">horror gems<\/a> with a third\u00a0entry. That being said, the team also has a knack for telling gripping and distinctly human stories, so there&#8217;s every chance it could utilize its talent for narrative\u00a0through\u00a0a whole new genre. It seems only time will tell, with Red Candle\u00a0adding:\u00a0&#8220;Hopefully we can share more info with you soon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Although the announcement of a new game is exciting for the studio&#8217;s wide fanbase, it does beg the question of whether its most recent game,\u00a0<em>Devotion,\u00a0<\/em>will ever return to digital storefronts worldwide. For those who didn&#8217;t\u00a0catch the title\u00a0being pulled from stores, it happened only a week after the game debuted, with <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/devotion-horror-game-pulled-china-president\/\">a hidden joke comparing Chinese President Xi Jinping to Winnie the Pooh allegedly being the source of its disappearance<\/a>.
