Though Marvel\u2019s long-term roadmap may not be as detailed as <em>Star Wars\u2019<\/em>, Disney did show a much better glimpse at what Disney+ will be offering next year and on.<\/p>\n<p>Joined by already confirmed series or miniseries, <em><strong>Loki<\/strong> <\/em>was one of the standouts in a pitch that also included <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wandavision-posters-released-disney\/\">the likes of <em>Wandavision<\/em><\/a>, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/falcon-winter-soldier-trailer-breakdown-story-details-easter-eggs\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Falcon and the Winter Soldier<\/a>,\u00a0Hawkeye<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>What If?<\/em>; as well as some newly announced productions like <em>Iron Heart<\/em>, <em>Armor Wars<\/em> (starring Don Cheadle as War Machine) and <em>Secret Invasion<\/em>, the show centered around Samuel L. Jackson\u2019s Nick Fury; to round things off 2022 will deliver a <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/i-am-groot-guardians-of-the-galaxy-holiday-special\/\">promising <em>Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\">R<strong>ELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/star-wars-obi-wan-hayden-christensen-darth-vader\/\">Hayden Christensen to Return as Darth Vader for Obi-Wan Series<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, even if there&#8217;s still no release date, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/loki\/\"><em>Loki\u2019s<\/em><\/a> official trailer is one of the most eye-catching reveals from that lot, as Tom Hiddleston\u2019s mischievous portrayal has made him one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/makes-good-villain-jump-back-inside-mcu-marvels-clues\/\">most beloved characters in the MCU<\/a>. With this first look, the <em>Loki<\/em> miniseries promises a ton of time travel shenanigans from the god of mischief, starting off with an alternate take on a scene from <em>Avengers: Endgame<\/em> where this time <em>Loki\u00a0<\/em>gets the best of\u00a0his brother.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/G4JuopziR3Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the trailer, hardcore fans will be treated to plenty of easter eggs, like\u00a0<em>Loki<\/em> being stranded in the desert <em>\u00e0 la<\/em> Tony Stark, only to find himself held prisoner by the TVA (Time Variance Authority), a mainstay organization in the Marvel comics looking to recruit the god of mischief, with Owen Wilson playing agency manager Mobius M. Mobius. <em>Loki<\/em> seems staged like a chance at redemption for the character, where he\u2019ll get to see some of his past actions under a different light, as the series letter-swapping logo suggests.<\/p>\n<p>Fans with a keen eye might also notice a purple ambiance similar to Vormir\u2019s in one of the shots where <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/everything-good-delayed-2021-watch-mean-time\/\">a woman resembling <em>Black Widow<\/em><\/a> can be seen in the background. This and other mysterious figures, like the hooded stranger keeping an eye on <em>Loki,<\/em>\u00a0are surely only some of the elements bound to be explored in the series. As if that weren\u2019t enough, the shot where <em>Loki<\/em> jumps out of a plane sees him vanished by a rainbow flash that points to Heimdall and the Bifrost maybe appearing in the show.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, fans should expect plenty of callbacks to previous events in the MCU to be referenced in <em>Loki<\/em>; to the comics, as the \u201cVote for Loki\u201d pin is directly taken from there; or even real-life events, since the airplane scene has Hiddleston donning a similar look to the mysterious D.B.
