CD Projekt Red have been quick to react to the news, having added a new &lsquo;risk of seizure&rsquo; warning message when players first boot up the game, before working on a permanent solution.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/TSZeBbsGw40?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That fix has arrived in the latest 1.04 patch, which has gone live on PC and PS4.<\/p>\n<p>Among the fixes in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyberpunk.net\/en\/news\/37043\/hotfix-1-04\">patch notes<\/a>, it states that it has &ldquo;modified the flashing effect on braindances to reduce the risk of inducing epileptic symptoms. The effect has been smoothed out and the flashes reduced in frequency and magnitude&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p>Ruppert confirmed on Twitter that she had worked with CD Projekt Red to help test this fix. &ldquo;I think this will help many epileptics and non-epileptics feel safer in Cyberpunk 2077,&rdquo; she said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I&#8217;ve been staying off of socials today but I am so thrilled to see this change! I worked with CDPR earlier this week to test some braindance animations and I think this will help MANY epileptics and non-epileptics feel safer in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Cyberpunk2077?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Cyberpunk2077<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CDPROJEKTRED?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CDPROJEKTRED<\/a> &#128154; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KUOVFJGFmA\">https:\/\/t.co\/KUOVFJGFmA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Liana Ruppert (@DirtyEffinHippy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DirtyEffinHippy\/status\/1337511117535518721?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 11, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>That doesn&rsquo;t appear to explicitly address other light effects in Night City that may still be a risk to anyone suffering from epilepsy, but this does nonetheless fix the worst case that&rsquo;s also tied to the main story path.<\/p>\n<p>The new patch also fixes the game&rsquo;s streaming mode, which was found to still contain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/12\/10\/cyberpunk-2077s-streaming-mode-dmca\/\">a copyrighted song<\/a> that could lead to streamers having their content hit with DMCA strikes.<\/p>\n<p>Further fixes include improved stability as well as fixing a number of bugs affecting progression in certain quests.<\/p>\n<p>The patch has yet to go live on Xbox One. However, following the issues with these seizure-triggering images,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/12\/10\/cyberpunk-2077-seizure-warning-pc\/\">Microsoft<\/a>&nbsp;has said that it would be improving its certification processes. At launch, it also appears that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/12\/09\/cyberpunk-2077-performance-mode-xbox-series-x-ps5\/\">Series X users can switch between resolution and performance modes in Cyberpunk<\/a>, while PS5 users cannot.<\/p>\n<p>CD Projekt Red nonetheless have yet more work to do to address the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/12\/10\/cyberpunk-2077-ps4-xbox-one\/\">performance issues in the base PS4 and Xbox One versions<\/a> of the game.
