There\u2019s no question that the coronavirus pandemic has had a major impact on the video game industry in 2020. Esports tournaments and annual gaming conventions like GDC were cancelled<\/a>, and numerous games got delayed throughout the year. In the case of Persona 5 Strikers, <\/em><\/strong>the English dubs for the game were recorded remotely for safety reasons.<\/p>\n

During a recent Q&A session at the Persona 5 Strikers<\/em> Virtual First Look Event, the game\u2019s publisher Atlus confirmed that all of the English voiceover work was done from the actors\u2019 homes. This has become somewhat the norm in the voiceover industry since the beginning of the pandemic, as TV, film, and game developers seek a way to safely continue production on their various projects.<\/p>\n

Atlus also shared that Persona 5 Strikers<\/em><\/a> will feature the same voice actors as previous the Persona 5 <\/em>games. These include Xander Mobus (Joker), Max Mittelman (Ryuji), Cassandra Lee Morris (Morgana), Erika Harlacher (Ann), Matthew Mercer (Yusuke), Cherami Leigh (Makoto), and Xanthe Huynh (Haru). The game will also introduce two new characters, Sophia and Zenkichi Hasegawa, though their voice actors have not yet been officially announced.<\/p>\n

Persona 5 Strikers <\/em>will be a direct sequel<\/a> to the original Persona 5 <\/em>and not Personal 5 Royal<\/em>, the enhanced version of the game that introduced a new Phantom Thief member, as well as a new Palace, music, and plot and social elements. The new game will follow Joker and the rest of the gang as they investigate some mysterious happenings across Japan.<\/p>\n

Persona 5 Strikers <\/em><\/strong>will release worldwide on February 23, 2021, for PC, PS4, and Switch.<\/p>\n
