The popular series of Pokemon Shirts started with unique patterns for the original 151 Pokemon in February 2019<\/a>. Already the series has covered the entirety of the second generation of Pokemon<\/em><\/strong> games and the Johto region, and now The Pokemon Company and its partners at Original Stitch have set their sights on the third generation of games and the Hoenn region.<\/p>\n

Pokemon Shirts are incredibly customizable, down to letting Pokemon<\/a> <\/em>fans pick a different Pokemon-centric pattern each for the pocket, inner cuff, outer cuff, inner collar, and outer collar, in addition to the body of the shirts. Of course, all of that customizability comes at a cost, as the Pokemon<\/em> Shirts do come at a premium cost<\/a>. The patterns can be applied to dress shirts, casual shirts and Hawaiian shirts in both men\u2019s and women\u2019s cuts, in addition to cuts for kids and even bandannas or masks.<\/p>\n

The lineup of over 251 current designs will be expanded when the 135 pocket monsters from the Hoenn region are added. Originally seen in Pokemon Ruby <\/em>and Pokemon Sapphire<\/em>, the Hoenn region includes fan-favorite Pokemon like the legendary Rayquaza<\/a>, which will all receive own unique patterns to be applied to the previously mentioned options next year.<\/p>\n

The first three patterns will be based on the starters of the Hoenn region: the Grass-type Treecko, Fire-type Torchic, and Water-type Mudkip on February 27. That date marks the second anniversary of Pokemon Shirts, and the 25th anniversary of the franchise in Japan. The rest of the Hoenn\u00a0Pokemon will be released in chunks in April, July, and September.<\/p>\n

Until February 28, there are also four special patterns available based on Pokemon featured in the upcoming movie, Pokemon: Secrets of the Jungle<\/em><\/a>: Cramorant, Skwovet, shiny Celebi, and new mythical Pokemon Zarude. The movie releases on Christmas Day in Japan, and is expected to release sometime next year for western audiences.<\/p>\n

Pokemon<\/em>\u2019s 25th anniversary may end up being the biggest year in the\u00a0series history. Not only is an incredibly demanded sequel to Pokemon Snap<\/em>\u00a0likely being released, but there will be special anniversary-themed sets for the TCG, a special event for Pokemon GO<\/em> called GO Tour: Kanto, in addition to other games that have yet to be announced. Rumors for other games that could come out next year include Switch-remakes of Pokemon<\/em> Diamond <\/em>and Pearl<\/em><\/a>, a Johto-centered sequel to Let\u2019s Go Pikachu <\/em>and Eevee<\/em>, and even a collection of multiple Pokemon <\/em><\/strong>games.<\/p>\n
