Cuphead<\/strong><\/em> and Nintendo seemed like a match made in heaven from the jump. Although the run-and-gun game developed and published by Studio MDHR started out as an Xbox exclusive, Cuphead<\/em> eventually found its way to the Switch<\/a> last year. Since then, Nintendo has continued to cultivate its relationship with Studio\u00a0MDHR and Cuphead<\/em>. And the most recent example is a Cuphead<\/em> Nintendo Switch controller.<\/p>\n

PowerA and Cuphead<\/em> have teamed up to create a gorgeous feature-packed Nintendo Switch controller that is available for pre-order now for $49.99. It will release on December 15, 2020. Cuphead<\/em> is one of the best hand-drawn video games<\/a> out there, so seeing the design on a controller for the Switch is very neat. But the yellow and orange design is just the start of what makes the controller an interesting buy.<\/p>\n

The controller is wireless and uses Bluetooth 5.0. The purchase includes two AA batteries, which apparently give up to 30 hours of gameplay. There are also LED lights to indicate player number and a low battery warning. Perhaps most exciting, the controller allows for mappable buttons, including two on the back for flexible options. In a game like Cuphead<\/a>,<\/em> perhaps the jump button can be mapped to the back button for ease of use. In an online game like Rogue Company<\/em>, the button on the back could be used for rolling. Buttons on the back of the controller, like the beloved Xbox Elite controller<\/a>, is becoming a\u00a0very popular and wanted feature.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time PowerA has made controllers for Nintendo, as there are plenty of options including the PowerA Pokemon<\/em> controller for the Switch<\/a>. With Nintendo adding Cuphead<\/em> to Smash Bros<\/em> as a costume and very much attaching itself to the franchise, this Cuphead<\/em> controller is special, and it could be a great gift just in time for the holidays as well.<\/p>\n

Cuphead<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is now available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.<\/p>\n
