Jenkins explained when talking about the film. &ldquo;There&rsquo;s a lot of things being acknowledged and understood about the greatness of all of those things, but yes, it&rsquo;s an original story and I&rsquo;m so psyched to do it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/e3N00xCr5i\">pic.twitter.com\/e3N00xCr5i<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; comments, it seems like we&rsquo;ll still be getting a fighter pilot tale, though &ndash; we can just expect something different from the dogfights and escort missions we saw back in the games.<\/p>\n<p>The Rogue Squadron film was announced&nbsp;back at Disney&rsquo;s Investor&rsquo;s Day earlier in December and is slated for launch Holiday 2023.<\/p>\n<p>If you want more on Star Wars Squadrons (the game this time), EA recently launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/12\/12\/star-wars-squadrons-update-4\/\">a new&nbsp;December update<\/a> for the space dogfight simulator.<\/p>\n<p>The latest update introduced some new Starfighters and a wealth of bug fixes, too &ndash;
