Grand Theft Auto Online<\/em><\/strong> has been a major success for Rockstar over the past few years, as the base GTA 5<\/em> game continues to sell well even seven years after its initial release. Even now, GTA Online<\/em> is getting a new heist<\/a> through the Cayo Perico update, which is supposed to be a major update for the online game.<\/p>\n

However, not every single Grand Theft Auto<\/em> fan is in love with the GTA Online<\/em> experience. Recently, popular Twitch streamer Shroud gave his thoughts on Grand Theft Auto Online<\/em><\/a> and why he thinks the game was a \u201cflop\u201d for him.<\/p>\n

Shroud has never been one to shy away from criticizing games that he has played on his channel. In October, Shroud criticized Black Ops Cold War<\/em><\/a> and the way the game handles scorestreaks. He\u2019s also voiced his complaints with titles like Assassin\u2019s Creed Valhalla<\/em> and Destiny<\/em>. In a recent stream, Shroud shared some of his grievances with the GTA Online<\/em> experience, explaining that the game went in a direction that he wasn\u2019t interested in after a certain point. Shroud attributes this to the game turning into an \u201copen-word grief sandbox.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, Shroud is not alone in this opinion, despite the overall popularity of Grand Theft Auto 5<\/em>. There are plenty of Grand Theft Auto<\/em> fans and community members who feel like GTA Online<\/em> is a bit of a mess in a lot of areas, or who feel the game simply lost its appeal after a while. However, Shroud isn\u2019t opposed to revisiting an online GTA<\/em> experience in the future. The streamer goes on to share some of his hopes for whenever Grand Theft Auto 6<\/em> eventually releases<\/a>, saying, \u201cI\u2019d love to see GTA 6<\/em> care about the modding community and work together on a united front.\u201d<\/p>\n
