Indie developers and published have reported big sales when releasing on Nintendo&#8217;s innovative handheld\/home console hybrid, and so it&#8217;s no surprise that new indie games are released for it on a consistent basis. As it so happens, there&#8217;s even more <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-switch-indie-game-releases-summer-2020\/\">Nintendo Switch indie games<\/a> in store for the console, and they will be revealed sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n<p>Nintendo has announced that its next <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-indie-world-showcase-8-18-2020\/\">Indie World Showcase<\/a> will take place on Tuesday, December 15 at 9am PT. The next Nintendo Indie World Showcase will run for about 15 minutes, featuring updates on previously-revealed Switch indie games, as well as brand new game reveals. What exactly will be shown at the event remains to be seen, but Nintendo Switch owners should be sure to tune in.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cuphead-powera-switch-controller\/\">Cuphead PowerA Nintendo Switch Controller is Available for Pre-Order<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, some Nintendo Switch fans may be wondering when Nintendo will be hosting its next Nintendo Direct presentation. The closest thing Nintendo has gotten to a proper Nintendo Direct presentation was earlier this year when it unveiled its plans for the\u00a0<em>Super Mario Bros.<\/em> 35th anniversary. It was during that presentation when Nintendo announced\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-all-stars-switch-review\/\"><em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em><\/a>, the\u00a0<em>Super Mario Bros. 35<\/em> battle royale, and more.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NintendoAmerica\/status\/1338483890533642241\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, it&#8217;s been a lot longer since Nintendo has had a full-fledged Nintendo Direct, and it&#8217;s unclear if they will ever really make a comeback. Nintendo seems to prefer hosting smaller, unannounced Nintendo Direct presentations that focus on specific games. It&#8217;s done this with\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>\u00a0for quite some time, with the next one of those scheduled to take place this week as well, on December 17. Those that tune in to that presentation will learn much more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-smash-bros-ultimates-sephiroth-character-reveal-breakdown\/\">Sephiroth DLC<\/a> that&#8217;s in the works for\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Nintendo has also hosted a number of Partner Showcases this past year, which have also been set up similarly to traditional Nintendo Directs, though are still not quite the same thing. The latest <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-direct-mini-partner-showcase-announcements-replay-recap\/\">Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase<\/a> took place in October, and Nintendo indicated that the next one won&#8217;t take place until some point in 2021. Considering this, the Indie World Showcase and the\u00a0<em>Super Smash Bros.
