Coming fresh off the heels of November’s\u00a0Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity<\/em>, Japanese video game developer Omega Force is hard at work on the localization of its warriors-styled Persona 5<\/em> spinoff game,\u00a0Persona 5 Strikers<\/strong><\/em>. Initially released as\u00a0Persona 5 Scramble<\/em> in Japan<\/a> this past February, the game is being localized for a Western release almost a year later, set to release on\u00a0February 23, 2021.<\/p>\n

Just like\u00a0many of Omega Force’s hack and slash spinoff titles\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Hyrule Warriors<\/em>,\u00a0Fire Emblem Warriors<\/em>, and\u00a0Dragon Quest Heroes \u2014<\/em>\u00a0Persona 5 Strikers<\/a><\/em>\u00a0is shaping up to be\u00a0a faithful representation of its source material. Being such, the game replicates\u00a0Persona 5<\/em>‘s iconic art-style, witty dialogue, and catchy music, but many have been wondering how this all\u00a0will translate to Persona 5 Strikers<\/i>‘\u00a0file size in its Western release.<\/p>\n

Nintendo’s official eShop webpage has indicated that anyone who wants to download the game\u00a0to their Nintendo Switch directly from the eShop should have at least 12.0 GB of free storage. While this certainly isn’t the largest game on the Nintendo Switch, coming\u00a0just short of\u00a0The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/em>‘s size of 14.4 GB, it\u00a0is larger than Omega Force’s most recent Nintendo Switch release,<\/a>\u00a0Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity<\/em>, which came in at\u00a010.9 GB.<\/p>\n

Interestingly,\u00a0Persona 5 Strikers<\/em>‘ 12.0 GB size is a bit larger than the version of the game that released in Japan this past February, which came in at 10.1 GB.\u00a0Though this has not been confirmed by the game’s developer, it is likely to account for extra options and content in the Western release, such as the ability to choose between either English or Japanese voice acting.<\/a><\/p>\n

Although\u00a0Persona 5 Strikers<\/em> is a spinoff of\u00a0the critically acclaimed RPG, the game’s director has reassured fans\u00a0that its storyline is\u00a0canonical and thus is a direct sequel to\u00a0Persona<\/em> 5<\/em>.<\/a>\u00a0Fans of the series\u00a0in the West can be sure to expect the same Persona 5\u00a0<\/em>charm they know and love when the Phantom Thieves strike back early next year.<\/p>\n

Persona 5 Strikers\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>will release for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4 on February 23rd.<\/p>\n
