While PS5<\/strong> owners have been enjoying the system’s launch offerings thus far, many are looking forward to what’s coming in the console’s future. Alongside any next-gen console is the expectation of innovative gaming experiences coming along with it. Nearly every console generation brings some sort of advancement, and with the PS5 higher graphical fidelity comes faster loading speeds with its custom SSD. Many of the launch games for PS5 were also optimized to play on PS4\/PS4 Pro as well, but 2021 will be when the next-gen exclusives release and truly show off the next generation of console gaming.<\/p>\n

Next year boasts several huge video game releases, many of which were only recently announced. While the Xbox Series X has plenty of heavy hitters on the way, like\u00a0The Medium<\/em> or\u00a0Halo Infinite<\/em>, it’s Sony’s PS5<\/a> that has a ton of powerhouse\u00a0titles releasing next year.\u00a0Ratchet & Clank<\/em>,\u00a0God of War<\/em>,\u00a0Horizon<\/em>, and\u00a0Final Fantasy<\/em> all have sequels coming as console or time-exclusives on PS5. That’s without even mentioning the many new third-party games like\u00a0Outriders\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Deathloop<\/em>. The list of 2021 PS5 games will presumably grow next year, but here’s everything announced so far.<\/p>\n

Game releases for 2021 are divided into three distinct categories: titles with definitive release dates announced for 2021, tentative or vague release windows for 2021 that could potentially change, and to-be-announced games for 2021 that have a higher likelihood of delay. Starting with the first category, there’s actually a surprising amount of games that have definitive release dates for 2021. Many are either long-announced games like\u00a0Deathloop<\/em><\/a>, or remastered last-gen games like The\u00a0<\/em>Nioh Collection<\/em>, with a select few being genuine next-gen exclusives. These are all the currently known games that are, at the moment, releasing definitively in 2021:<\/p>\n
