While <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/cyberpunk-2077\/\"><em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em><\/a> sold incredibly well on PC and was met with critical acclaim,\u00a0some\u00a0gamers who anticipated playing the game on consoles couldn&#8217;t help but notice that the developer seemingly never disclosed footage of the game running on either PS4 or Xbox One, only ever showing\u00a0footage of the game running on PC.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-flatlined-steam-crash-guide\/\">Cyberpunk 2077 Has Flatlined: How to Fix Steam Crash<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately,\u00a0<em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>&#8216;s release last week ended up proving much of the skepticism held by console gamers, as it almost seemed that\u00a0players of the game on PC and players of the game on consoles\u00a0were having two completely different experiences. This led\u00a0to CD Projekt Red issuing an apology today, offering <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-ps4-xbox-dev-refund-offer\/\">refunds to those playing\u00a0<em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> on consoles.<\/a>\u00a0However, despite CD Projekt Red promising refunds to disappointed gamers, Sony has reportedly refused\u00a0refunds to those who purchased the digital PS4 version of the game.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ThatBoiKoda\/status\/1338537607404396544?ref_src=https:\/\/gamerant.com\/sony-refusing-refund-copies-cyberpunk-2077\/twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1338537607404396544%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=%22 frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On Twitter, many users have expressed frustration with being denied a refund of their digital purchase\u00a0of <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>\u00a0for PS4, posting screenshots of their\u00a0PlayStation customer support conversations.\u00a0PlayStation customer support representatives have reportedly referred to the PlayStation Store Cancellation Policy, stating that the game cannot be refunded if it has been downloaded or streamed. What may be even worse, however, is that some PlayStation customer support representatives have seemingly tried to sway customers away from urging for a refund, acknowledging <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-2077-ps4-xbox-one-performance-bad\/\"><em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>&#8216;s\u00a0issues on consoles,<\/a> but citing CD Projekt Red&#8217;s announcement that patches for the console versions of <em>Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/em>are on the way.<\/p>\n<p>While it may be worth mentioning that CD Projekt Red offered for any customers struggling to get a refund to contact them directly at a special email address, there&#8217;s no denying\u00a0CD Projekt Red&#8217;s oversight of the PlayStation Store Cancellation Policy, as\u00a0it referred purchasers of the digital PS4 version of <em>Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>\u00a0to use the PSN refund system.
