During The Information quest in\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/strong><\/em>, the player must scan Yorinobu’s datapad while it’s turned on, but this can be a bit tricky because he uses the object at an unexpected moment, or sometimes, a bug makes completing this mission difficult.<\/p>\n

The Information quest tasks the player with meeting Evelyn Parker and learning the ins and outs of braindancing with the help of Judy Alvarez, the best braindance technician in Night City<\/a>. After a tutorial,\u00a0the game\u00a0will allow them to dive into Evelyn’s own memory of a time she visited Yorinobu Arasaka’s apartment. By switching between the thermal, visual, and audio layers, V must scan his apartments in braindancing’s editing mode to search for clues that will assist their hunt for information and later, the big heist. But one objective of the mission, scanning Yorinobu’s datapad, is stalling some Cyberpunk 2077<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>players.<\/p>\n

After listening in on Yorinobu’s phone conversation with his father, he will reveal that more information on the Relic can be found on Yorinobu’s datapad, giving players the new objective of scanning it “while it’s turned on.” To do this, first switch to the visual layer if not already in it. Secondly, though he’s waving it around while on the phone, the datapad can’t be scanned during this time. Rather, players will need to fast-forward to approximately 2:45 on the timeline at the top of the screen. There should be a highlighted yellow section on the visual layer to note that there are objects available to scan.<\/p>\n

While Evelyn is putting on some mood music<\/a>, walk over to Yorinobu’s bedroom while he’s sitting on the bed and the datapad should have a lit-up screen; it can now be scanned. Sometimes scanning it too early registers it as a phone instead of a datapad, or won’t register it at all.<\/p>\n

However, some players are experiencing bugs that block them from finishing this objective, which means they won’t be able to progress in Cyberpunk<\/em>‘s\u00a0story until they are able to do so. Sometimes, a glitch will stop the datapad from rendering or appearing in the scene. Other times, the datapad won’t turn on, even when it appears that Yorinobu is using it while sitting on his bed during the correct timestamp.<\/p>\n

But among Cyberpunk<\/em>‘s\u00a0many game-breaking bugs<\/a>, this one shouldn’t be too hard to fix. If any bugs come up that stop the quest from being finished, simply reload the last save or checkpoint.\u00a0Luckily,\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/em>looks to autosave pretty often, so players should be able to reload from the beginning of Evelyn Parker’s braindance session.<\/p>\n

This solution has worked for most players, but if it doesn’t, try going to save prior to when the braindance session is loaded. If that still doesn’t solve the issue, players might just need to wait until CD Projekt Red comes out with another patch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cyberpunk 2077<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X\/S versions coming in 2021.<\/p>\n
